For sale is a real dyed in the wool, made in the good ol' US and A, handmade aluminum and carbon fiber Canondale Scalpel 2000.
Featuring front and rear suspension.
18 inch frame. Due to the adjustability, good for someone approximately 5'6" to 6+ feet.
In the beginning of the summer i put on a brand new set of lightweight Vuelta 27.5" wheels, with nice sealed cartridge bearings and red-anodized hubs, to match the accents on the bike.
Mounted to the wheels are a brand new pair of tan-wall made in Japan "Panaracer GravelKing" tires.
I found 'em to be the perfect size and tread for city riding, and fast rolling rides on off road trails.
The front-end is controlled by a proprietary Canonndale Fatty Si Headshok fork.
With its hexagonal tube internals and roller bearings... it's as buttery smooth as it is precise!
The rear derailleur and lever-shifter\hydraulic disc brakes are the Shimano top of the line XTR group!
I have the bike set-up 1x9. "One-By" is all the fashion nowadays. It saves the weight of the front derailleur and superfluous extra chainrings. I find nine gears to be more than adequate for riding around the city, getting over the Brooklyn Bridge, or even flying downhill fast.
The bike weighs about 25 pounds, which is pretty light for an XC full suspension cross country \ gravel bike.
That's including the clipless/platform pedals.
Unfortunately barely rode it this summer, and decided its better off going to a new home.
The frames a little dingy from being in storage so long. But with some aluminum polish and elbow grease, you can make this alloy frameset mirror polished again!
End of summer sale! Looking to get $695 for this $3500, super cool, made in the US, all-terrain cruiser
