Royal Crown Derby Imari Plate #2451 Stunning! Superb! ( Japanese Influence)
“Royal Crown Derby Imari Traditional #2451 was first introduced in 1887 and was based on an earlier pattern (877) made in 1880. Like all the Imari range, sometimes referred to as 'Japan ware', Traditional Imari was influenced by patterns first sourced from the port of Imari on a small Japanese island named Kyushu.
While Royal Crown Derby were neither the originators or the sole producers of the Imari pattern, they certainly became the most famous and their name is now synonymous with this exquisite range which features cobalt blue, Derby red and burnished 22 carat gold.”
Diameter is 9 and 5/8”

Reportedly made between 1887 and 1920 and sells as high as $219. Someone is offering a set of 10 for $1390. So for this plate in this amazing condition the $89 I (reduced to) want for this is a great deal.
Condition is perfect! I, plus my mother and uncles prior, grew up with this piece in my grandparents house. These kinds of items were kept in displays recessed into the living room and foyer walls, or on the 2 living room mantel pieces or buffets in the formal dining room. The only time these items were touched was when my grandmother or mother dusted them.
