I have also cleaned and descaled the machine with white vinegar and found out that the bottom is leaking water. I am unsure if it is due to the missing pod holder but the leak is not a lot of water and one can use a towel underneath the bottom to soak up the water or just wipe off the water after brewing. Or perhaps for someone ingenious who finds joy in tinkering with appliances and will have the issue straighten out in no time
