On-Site Customer Support Technician (Sleepy Hollow)

Based on-site at the customer location, the role is all about providing excellent customer and technical support in meeting customer demands and expectations.

To be successful, the position needs someone who can work on their own initiative, has the right attitude, willingness, and commitment, who can work independently and with the local customer contacts, is responsive to issues, and proactive in identifying ongoing support and process improvements.

Duties:
- Timely response to system and customer incidents (Hardware or Software based).
- Monitoring system performance in maintaining maximum system uptime.
- Diagnosing various technical issues and proactively identify ways to avoid recurrence.
- Effectively communicate information with his/her team members and customers alike.
- Reporting/escalating issues through the appropriate channels.
- Maintain tools and spares inventory.
- Additional responsibility as business needs dictate.

Requirements:
- Ability to use critical thinking and logic skills to isolate and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Able to collect relevant data and communicate in a way that is informative and reasoned.
- Network and Cabling management knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills.
- Strong written, verbal and organization skills.
- Superior time management and prioritization skills.
- The ability to react and work under time and situational pressure.

Various degrees of experience and education will be considered provided the candidate's application demonstrates the following minimum requirements: Technical Associate Degree and/or 2-3 years related experience in one or more of the following fields:
- Field service.
- Medical/Hospital working environment.
- Customer facing support.

In essence, we are looking for a candidate with a level of technical competence, genuine customer and communications skills, the right attitude in providing good customer service, and looking to make the role, and yourself successful.

This is a full time position, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with occassional requirements to support customer escalations outwith normal hours.

The position start date is targeted for Monday 16th November 2009.
