POP Displays USA is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Lead at our Yorkers, campus. This is a 435,000 sq. ft facility with manufacturing, assembly, and warehousing capabilities. This facility also houses our corporate offices. This role involves shift responsibility for facility and maintenance/housekeeping staff and their responsibilities including but not limited to the documentation and assignment of work orders to support all operations within the company. Ensure all PM procedures are documented and executed correctly by staff members on time. Provide technical assistance and repair on various electromechanical and pneumatic equipment. Assist in creation of work schedule for maintenance personnel. Maintain adequate spare parts stockroom.
This is an opportunity for 2nd shift (3pm to 11pm) or 3rd Shift (11pm to 7am) or split 2nd/3rd shift combination. Overtime available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Other duties may be assigned:
· Coordination of work orders and follows up through to completion.
· Maintain high completion percentile on work orders.
· Work with team to maintain facility to regulatory and company standards.
· Provide a safe work environment for associates in the department, investigating accidents or potential accidents and implementing countermeasures to eliminate recurrence.
· Manage the department to meet cost targets, utilizing associates in the best manner and overtime only as required.
· Constant communication with facilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Knowledge of electrical codes and equipment
· Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.
· Technical expertise in HVAC, Compressed Air and control systems including burners and boilers.
· Hands on technical knowledge and experience regarding multi voltage applications.
· Ability to troubleshoot complex electro mechanical systems and repair quickly.
· Ability to communicate effectively with team personnel.
· Ability to project accurate repair time estimates.
· Bi-Lingual Preferred
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years electro-mechanical technical experience or equivalent combination of education, certification and work experience. Military experience A+.
