need java code right away (Financial District)

i dont really have anything to offer but im about to fail my java class...i have so much homework thats all due tomorrow and if i cant get it in then the only way i can pass is to ace the final which i just know i cant...please im at my wits end here i didnt sign up to be a programmer i signed up for computer networking if i cant get this suff done i just want to drop out of college i dont want to have to take this class again...if this doesnt work then whatever i just really hope i can find someone around here who can give this one to me

heres what i have to do...please someone please...help me out...

1. Create an applet that plays a simple guessing game. Give it two buttons labeled Odd and Even. The user must guess whether a secret number is odd or even by clicking one of these buttons. After a guess is made, the applet should display either Congratulations, you are correct! or Sorry, you are wrong. In either case, also display The secret number was: followed by the secret number. Use labels for these three messages.

The applet will have a private instance variable secretNumber of type long
that holds the secret number. You will need to set it in the init method using the following line of code:
secretNumber =
java.util.Calendar.getInstance().getTimeInMillis() % 100;
In the actionPerformed method, check which button was pressed and make the appropriate response label visible. After that, make the two buttons invisible (only one guess is allowed) and the label containing the secret number visible.

Hint:This project creates a simple little applet ties together the material on applets in this chapter. A discussion on how Java handles time could be introduced here, but is not critical to the operation of this applet.

GuessApplet.java.

2. Design an applet that displays Home Sweet Home. The house should have a door and window and you can also add stuff that looks like sweet home. Your creativity is counted for good credit

3. Write an applet that displays a series of pictures of a person with arms, legs, and of course a head. Use a happy face for the head. Use ovals for the body, arms, and legs. Draw a sequence of figures that appear one after the other, as in Listing 4.9. Make the figures assume a running position. Change the color of the person’s face in each succeeding figure, going from white to pink to red to yellow to green. Have the smiling face gradually change its mouth shape from a smile on the first person to a frown on the last person. Use a switch statement to choose the color. Embed the switch statement in a loop.

Hint: this program uses a switch to determine the face color and the height adjustment of the mouth. The mouth height adjustment is used to gradually change the mouth from a smile to a frown. Also, a number of constants are added for the position and size of the arms, legs, and body.

Honduras Children’s Rescue Mission (CRM) is an inter-dominational, faith-based organization providing humanitarian relief, education and a message of empowerment to the people of the Teupansenti Region in Southeastern rural Honduras. CRM is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Any gift of giving is welcomed and appreciated.

The Children's Rescue Mission (CRM) was founded in 1999 in the aftermath of Hurricane Mitch. The first mission trip was made in 1999 and funded by a private $5,000 donation to provide medical aid to the children. The mission initially occupied a borrowed room in a local Teupansenti residence and served 12 children.

While CRM has grown over the years, it is just beginning to make a difference in the lives of the children and villagers of Teupansenti through focus on longer term objectives to develop sustainable infrastructure for jobs in industry and farming leading to sustainable self-reliance through education, vocational training, water purification, sanitation and adequate health care.

WE NEED COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO HELP GROW OUR ORGANIZATION. Where ever your interests lie we have a place for you. There are many roles to fill: fundraising, publicity, outreach, missions, finance, business planning..... PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT GETTING INVOLVED AND WHAT YOU CAN DO TO CHANGE THE LIVES AND PROVIDE Relief to the people of Honduras.

We are currently focusing on finishing a new school and raising final funds for a kitchen project.
I was hoping to find a student doula who is willing to help me through my birth experience while she is still in school. I only will need a doula during my labor. Postpartum services are probably not needed. My due date is February 14th, but it can be sooner, since they are twins . I am hoping for a caring and enthusiastic woman who can make this a more pleasant and memorable experience. Most of my family is overseas and probably won't be able to make it until after giving birth.

Hearts & Minds seeks volunteer website programmers and developers to improve its www.change.net website, already reaching millions of visitors a year.

SKILLS WE SEEK
We particularly need Drupal, php and MySQL. CMS and CSS experience are also very welcome!

WHO WE ARE
Founded in 1996, Hearts & Minds is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. We work locally, nationally and globally through our website - www.change.net - where we promote volunteering and self-help. Our nonpartisan, nonprofit organization inspires, educates and connects millions of people online with the best ways to address major challenges in their lives and society. This includes the environment, human rights, addictions and other important issues.

THE END POVERTY CAMPAIGN
This is an achievable plan to help end extreme global poverty. Today, we have all the methods and resources to end extreme poverty. Only the political will is missing.

More than 18 million people die every year from povery-related causes. Together, we can help end this silent genocide and create a better world for us, as well.

Our grassroots public education and advocacy raises support for comprehensive, cost-effective programs. This includes innovative and proven techniques such as free and fair trade, microfinance, and social entrepreneurship. These initiatives already help millions of people lift themselves from poverty.

More information about our campaign is at www.change.net/poverty/plan.htm

ART AND EDUCATION
Our Youth for Change and Seniors for Change programs teach disadvantaged kids, teens and seniors about arts, poverty and the environment. Youths and seniors create artworks and write letters to our elected representatives and the media to support getting to the root of some of our most pressing challenges.

We would like to run these free programs with your participants.

MORE PROGRAMS
We provide valuable vocational and life skills training for our own volunteers.

This year the hurricane Jimena has lashed the city of Guaymas leaving an important level of rain. 2009 is the year when it rained the most (in the last 50 years) and this caused an important damage to the population of Guaymas and to the city. The hurricane affected people of all backgrounds, leaving a lot of people in the middle of nowhere since they lost everything they had. Everything was affected, public buildings, leisure areas, houses, schools, there was no place that was not affected.
This international volunteer project is organized in order to help in the reconstruction of the city of Guaymas with the support of motivated volunteers. There are many things to be done since there were several areas seriously affected. We need help to clean beaches, to rebuild sportive spaces, to clean up parks and community spaces, to fix roads, to help in rural communities by giving health workshops.
After the hurricane, the children affected don’t have a place to continue their studies, they lost everything they had for their education: material, furniture, the roof collapsed and the walls were damaged because of the water and humidity. For that reason, at this first stage, the goal of the project is renovating and reconstructing two schools damaged by the Jimena Hurricane, so the children affected can return to their educative activities as soon as possible and in a clean and healthy environment, appropriate for their development and with the support of the international volunteers. This project will benefit 25 families for the first school and 180 families for the second school.
Volunteers will help with the reconstruction of the two schools affected. They will help with reconstruction activities such as painting walls, reforestation, and cleaning the schools. They will contribute to renovate these structures through scratching and painting walls, and will also do some artistic work such as painting murals on the walls of the schools with the help of local volunteers with landscapes and thematic appropriate for the children. The volunteers will also help planting trees and reforesting the affected area, making and putting signals and signs.
Age range: 18 and over
Location: Morelia is a beautiful historic city, and capital of the state of Michoacán. Founded almost 500 years ago, the city has a wonderful central zone with buildings dating back to the time of the Spanish conquest as well as all the more modern attributes (shops, bars, cafés, etc). The city's population is over 1 million and the climate is moderately warm, with daytime temperatures ranging from 20-35º C. Morelia is well connected to a variety of great places to visit, such as Pátzcuaro, and the ancient Purépecha capital Tzintzunzan.

For more details visit: www.cadip.org/volunteer-in-mexico.htm or give us a call: 617-502-0400 (US); 604-628-7400 (Canada)

For volunteer opportunities in other countries click here: www.cadip.org

Visit a senior or younger person with a disability to help with the timely payment of monthly bills. Clients of the Bill Payer Program are independent and make all their own financial decisions, but need hands-on help with the tasks of bill paying. These may include organizing bills, writing out checks for the client to sign, balancing the checkbook and reconciling bank statements. Volunteers are screened, undergo background and credit checks, and receive training and ongoing supervision. The commitment is for one year, one or two visits a month for approximately 6 hours total a month. Multilingual volunteers welcome! Volunteer "monitors" are also needed for a few hours once a month at our central location in Midtown Manhattan. Monitors provide checks-and-balances by reviewing client bank accounts to insure accuracy. Please contact Emerson Gardner at egardner@cscs-ny.org or call 212-398-6565 Ext. 229.

Top Honors is a non-profit educational company that provides free math tutoring to
motivated 6th through 8th-graders from the Upper West Side and Harlem.

Tutoring takes place on Saturdays at a school on the Upper West Side. There are two
sessions:

Morning session runs from 10:30AM-12:30PM

Afternoon session runs from 1:30PM-3:30PM

Tutors are expected to tutor in one of the two sessions each week. The tutor volunteers
currently come from a variety of industries such as finance, law, retail and medicine as well as qualified college and high school students.
Top Honors was awarded a grant from the Columbia Community Service office and the Citigroup
Foundation to continue its work with education in the community.

TOP HONORS, Inc., believes in the concept of "EDUTAINMENT," combining math with fun.
Tutors use a unique step-by-step curriculum that motivates students to learn with use of
educational games and competitions. Tutor candidates should be professionals or advanced
high school students who are comfortable with mathematics (through basic algebra) and enjoy
working with students. Ideal tutors should have enthusiasm, patience and creativity to
come up with different ways to teach students in order to best fit the student's learning
abilities.

The Convent is situated in the region of Abruzzo, centre of Italy, about 150 km away from Rome. It has been fully restored by the local institution Mountain Community and furnished following as much as possible the "static free" standards.
The project aims to bring new economic, tourist and especially cultural and spiritual movements in a quite isolated area. It deals with sustainable living, no waste, recycling and clever use of energies.
As every year international volunteer groups will spend some days at the ex Convento San Giorgio: a good chance to meet people from all over the world, to know a bit of Italian culture, getting in touch with permaculture and sustainable living; all this while staying in a Convent of the XVII century and discovering the beautiful Park of Sirente–Velino.
This is a special project in which international volunteers will help to collect olives in the field. The field is about 45 minutes away from the Convent (by car). During this period volunteers will be spending the day in the field. Work can be hard for some who are not used to it.

Lunar New Year festival for orphans in Saigon
February 1 - February 11, 2010

TET Festival is Vietnamese traditional New Year Holiday (following Lunar Calendar) which usually falls into mid January – mid February. This is the time for family reunion and visits to friends and relatives. Like the Christmas and New Year in western countries, people here prepare a lot for this holiday, from renovating their houses, making cakes and a lot of food and drinks. However, in the orphanages, children do not have enough to prepare for their holiday. Most of them stay in the orphanage or centers over the Tet, only some of them go back to their home villages. Thus, there is need to prepare something for those children, so they still have good time and enjoy such big holidays.
In Ho Chi Minh City area, an international workcamp will be set up to prepare Tet holidays in Ky Quang Orphanage and Chua La Orphanage.
Volunteers will help renovating the houses, cleaning the site and making Chung Cake (traditional cake for children in Tet).

My name is David Siegel. I have a big new book coming out explaining the semantic web to business people and others interested in the future of the Internet. I am planning to build a huge online resource center with thousands of links, reviews, resources, books, articles, blogs, videos, jobs, and more. I'm looking for researchers WHO WILL START UNPAID and show how enthusiastic they are about learning about the semantic web and the future of the Web. I expect to do consulting next year, and these volunteers will be prime candidates to pick up some consulting work with me. You should either have an MBA or a strong interest in business, or you should have a tech background and a strong interest in computer science, productivity, and the semantic web. I am looking for 5-10 hours per week, and I'll be happy to give you a profile on the site where people can find you and hire you for consulting. If things work out, it could turn into a part-time or full-time job. Enthusiasm counts. The job involves a lot of online searching and helping organize resources on the web site. Bonus points if you have Wordpress experience. Tell me what you can offer. See www.dsiegel.com for a bit more.

If you have any of the above symptoms of COPD, it's time to see your doctor. The earlier this disease is diagnosed and treated, the better your chances are at arresting further damage.

If you are diagnosed with COPD, there are different treatments available, depending on how severe your symptoms are. Treatment can and does improve quality of life for many people. While the disease is not reversible, it can be slowed and actions taken to improve breathing. The number one thing you can do to improve your condition if you haven't already is to QUIT SMOKING. If you don't, the disease will progress faster, and the treatments won't help as much as they would if you were smoke free.

Treatment for COPD includes:
copd hypnosis stop smoking hypnotism quit smoking hypnotic therapy smoking cessation hypnotism anxiety hypnotist habit phobia ibs ocd
Bronchodilators. Short-acting bronchodilators last 4 to 6 hours with each dose and are used on an as needed basis.

COPD - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease - symptoms, causes ...

aka Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COLD). Medical Revising Author: George Schiffman, MD ... What are the symptoms of COPD? How is COPD diagnosed?

cough

sputum (mucus) production

shortness of breath, especially with exercise

wheezing(a whistling or rattle type noise) when you breathe in

tightness in the chest

Long-acting bronchodilators last about 12 hours and are used daily. Because bronchodilators are inhaled, the medicine goes directly into the lungs, where it's needed.

Inhaled glucocorticosteroids are steriods prescribed to some COPD patients to help reduce inflammation of the airways. A doctor may try them on a person for 6 weeks to 3 months initially to see if they are of any help.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a program of combined exercise, disease management counseling and training to help the person become more active and do what they can to slow the progression of symptoms.

Oxygen treatment is used when the patient has severe COPD symptoms, known usually at this point as emphysema. The oxygen level in the blood is too low, which leaves the person quite breathless. Inhaling oxygen will help them get enough oxygen and there will be less difficulty breathing. Depending on the need of the person, a doctor may advise using oxygen for part of the day, or all of the time.

Surgery is sometimes recommended when other treatments have not provided any relief.

COPD symptoms can worsen very quickly. When this happens, people may find that breathing suddenly becomes much more difficult; they may get a fever; experience more coughing and sputum that has changed colors. Be sure to get in touch with your doctor if this happens to you.

If you experience any of these symptoms, seek emergency help:

You have trouble talking or walking

You have a very fast or irregular heartbeat

Your lips or fingernails are gray or blue

Your breathing is fast and hard, even after you've used your medications

It's a good idea to put together a list which includes the numbers of your doctor and hospital, as well as what medications you're taking. Make sure you have the numbers of people who can take you to the doctor also, if necessary. Put this list in a central location, such as on the refrigerator. Let other family members know that it's there.
COPD is the 4th leading cause of death in the United States and around the world.

Material for this article was obtained from information about COPD at The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Website. NHLBI is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Smoking is not an easy thing to try to quit, not that I have ever tried. I've never been a smoker, but, as I've seen many friends and family members struggle with their nicotine addiction, I know it isn't easy to quit smoking.
Now, more than ever, is a great time to quit especially because there are so many products out there to help you deal with your addiction. The hard part is finding the one that works for you. Trial and error is probably the best way to figure out which product will suppress your addiction.
In order to help you figure out where to start, I decided to look at which products are popular among our users. Prescription medications Chantix and Zyban topped the list, followed closely by the Nicotine Patch. One of the most innovative products on the list is ZeroSmoke, a pr oduct that uses magnets to create a pressure point on the ear stimulating the production of neurotransmitters in the brain which eliminate the desire to smoke. Other popular products include Nicorette Gum, Nicotine Gum and the Nicotine Inhaler.
Do you know of any products to help quit smoking that didn't show up on our list? If so, please tell us about them. Try searching for products to quit smoking on AOL Search or check out AOL Shopping.

Through its interactive website, Reach the World enriches the school day by connecting classrooms to travelers on actual journeys across the globe. RTW identifies volunteer travelers, manages web-based educational content posted by these travelers, and delivers customized curriculum and teacher training via graduate student interns, drawn from local teaching colleges. In 2006, the National Geographic Education Foundation named RTW a Model Program in Geography Education, one of only six in the nation.
