I have one bedroom in a 2 bedroom apartment in Astoria to trade. I have exclusive use of the living room, and one other person lives here. He is rarely here, and very quiet.
It is a $10-12 taxi to Midtown Manhattan, same to LGA airport.
Subway is 3 stops, 10 minutes to Midtown, less than 15 minutes to Times Square.

I would like to travel more on the weekends, so I'd like to trade with someone who wants to see New York and doesn't want to pay outrageous rates for a hotel. Let's swap places. I would leave all my stuff here, change the sheets etc. and you could do the same.
Some places I'd like to go would be anywhere warm this winter for a long weekend, cheap flight and no more than a 3 hour flight from NYC. Would be an idea for someone thinking of moving to NYC and wants to check out the place first.

MY DATES ARE FLEXIBLE, my only constraint is to be in NYC until the end of the spring semester at Columbia.

The flat is in the center of Paris, 10th arrondissement, at Strasbourg-Saint-Denis (metro station), near R�publique and the Canal Saint-Martin. There are many restaurants, bars and shops close by: it's in a very lively and mixed neighbourhood. just 5 minutes north from central Chatelet with the metro, 15 walking, 7 by bike... and 10 minutes away from the Marais. Many metro lines and bus lines down the road.

The appt is 68 m2. There are : 3 independant bedrooms, a living-room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and lavatories, all linked by a long corridor. It is sunny AND quiet ! Your room would be 12 m2, with 2 windows, fully furnished, with a double mattress, bedding, a large desk, book shelves, etc...see photo below.

My flat is located in Brixton (zone 2) in south London. It's a small 1BR in a quiet building that overlooks some back gardens. The kitchen is fully equipped (if you like to cook!) and the flat is wifi enabled.

Brixton is 12 minutes on the Victoria line into central London and is very well connected by buses. It's an edgy, dynamic area of London with a strong West Indian and African presence plus a good dose of young professionals thrown in. There's great nightlife in the area - clubs, bars, pubs, Brixton market (meat, fruit, veg), a Sunday farmers' market. It's a great slice of London life and something different than what you'd see in central London! I'd be happy to give you some local tips of where to go.

We have a beautiful two bedroom apartment at the top of Nob Hill that we are looking to swap. It is one block from Grace Cathedral at Sacramento and Leavenworth down a tree and flower lined walking path about 50 yards from Sacramento Street and consequently very secluded and quiet. The location is walking distance from Polk Street, the Marina, Fillmore Street, Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach and Union Square, basically the perfect location if you want walking access to the city. The apartment was remodeled to the studs in 2005 and has a large remodeled kitchen and 1.5 baths. There are 2 bedrooms, but only one has a bed (a king size) and we use the other as an office/in home gym, so we would be looking for a couple or individual to swap with, and no more. We have mostly brown leather and antique furniture.

My apartment is in amazing location in West-Greenwich village. It's on Macdougal St. between Bleecker and West 3rd. Near Washington Square Park. It�s one of the most popular areas in the village. Everything you would near is there! West 4th Subway stop (A,C,E,F,V,B,D trains) is also a block away from my apartment.

The apartment is a large 1 bedroom and it is very nicely decorated. There is queen size bedroom, and another queen size pull out coach in the living room. The living room is very nice, looking at the MacDougal street. The kitchen is great for cooking if you are interested.

With yellow walls, a comfy red couch and chair, and an entire window wall facing south, the space feels like a bright, sunny French country hideaway on the third floor of a doorman building with an elevator and laundry facilities in the basement. I have a meeting in NYC from December 1st to December 3rd, and am looking for a swap.

You can stay at my apartment either from the 18th to the 27th or any 9 nights that you need it before December 10th or after January 6th. The building is very quiet and safe, and is located at the corner of 99th St. and Lexington Avenue, three blocks from the 96th St. station of the 6 subway line (rated the best subway line in New York). The apartment is only one flight up and it has one bedroom with a queen size bed, TV, DVD player, and a small desk with a chair; a bathroom with bathtub; a kitchen with a dining table and everything you could need to cook and eat; a living room with a full size futon sofa bed, etc.; and a small studio with a desk and the closet (I don't have anymore the small sofa you see in the picture). Both the bed in the bedroom and the sofa bed in the living room are very comfortable. The apartment is very clean and cozy, and has lots of windows with southern exposure, which makes it very bright. You will find sheets, towels and everything you will need for your stay. It is very close to Central Park, the museum mile, restaurants, stores, supermarkets, and everything else that you could need. It's only a 6 hour drive! Come and discover beautiful Montreal. The apt is located in front of Laurier Park and a 5 min walk to Laurier Metro. There is WIFI but no television. There so much to do in Montreal you won't need it! I am minutes from St-Denis, Mont-Royal, St-Laurent street. And there is a Bikram yoga studio 5 mins away too. You can use my unlimited yearly pass.

The apt has a spacious kitchen and dining room, small living and a bedroom with Queen Size bed, and a bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower.
