Guitarist looking to be in a band:

Hey. My name is David. I'm 20 years old and I've been playing for about 4 or 5 years. I've never been in a band before, so this will be a new experience for me. I have a bunch of material that I've written myself, and I've recorded some of it at home using extremely primitive recording equipment. I'd like that to change. That's where you come in. When I say "you", I mean a bassist, a 2nd guitarist, and a drummer. Although I can kind of sing, I am by no means qualified to be a lead singer. So if you can play your instrument and sing lead at the same time, you will automatically be extra special to me.
As far as my guitar skills go, I am definitely good enough for the type of music that I'm interested in playing. That encompasses all that is melodic, catchy, and rocking. Think along the lines of Weezer, Ben Kweller, Ben Folds, Ben Lee, The Beatles, Beach Boys, Fountains of Wayne, etc.
Again, I have never been in a band before. I'm looking to have fun with this, and take things slow if necessary. Of course I would love to play shows eventually, but I've never even sung in front of people before. Being in a band with like-minded individuals will make that transition a lot easier for me, and I look forward to it.
My gear includes a Gibson SG and an Epiphone Les Paul, along with a Peavey Bandit 112 amp and a Roland Micro Cube amp.
