A Staten Island Preschool/Daycare Center is looking for an entry level educational director. The goal of the director is to create a warm and caring environment in which to provide a proper education and growing experience for our students. Responsibilities include maintaining a staff of seven teachers, curriculum implementation, fund raising, creative plan to increase enrollment and certain office duties such as payroll and check disbursement utilizing the Excel program. Candidate will also be required to attend DOE meetings when required and meet with DOMH and DOE personnel when site visits begin.
The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with parents, staff, and children on a daily basis as well as the following skills:
* A BA degree in early childhood education or related field of study.
* Some experience as a group teacher is preferred
* Willingness to be fingerprinted by DOE and DOMH
* Ability to handle children from 18 months through 5 years
Staten Island resident preferred. Please remember this is an entry level position.
