CENTER FOR MOVEMENT, a preeminent Pilates studio for nearly a decade, strictly adheres to the philosophical and physiological principles incorporated by Joseph Pilates in his formulation of the Pilates method. Our Pilates Certification program offers a comprehensive course of study, providing the candidate with the skills needed in becoming a highly skilled certified Pilates Instructor. Trainees will have the opportunity to learn the techniques and principles of the Authentic Pilates Method, as well as the proper execution of the exercises. Program Description
The program consists of 60 hours of training seminars and 400 hours of apprenticeship. Led by teacher trainer Morwen Banq, and owners Donna Singer & Elle Jardim, the seminars will include in-depth discussions and hands-on instruction of the Pilates Method and its principles. Demonstrations of the correct executions of exercises, as well as practical teaching tips will be given. Discussions will include safety concerns, injuries, exercise modifications, and correct body placement.

QUALIFICATIONS:
All potential candidates must have a degree in exercise physiology or an exercise science field and have practical experience in the field of personal fitness training. Additionally, Definitions requires all candidates to have current CPR certification.
All potential trainers should have the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Health Fitness Specialist certification. Any individual who does not already have this certification, will be required to prepare for the test within six to twelve months of employment. Definitions prepares all of its trainers for the exam through an extensive eight week course.

The selected artisan will receive tutelage in advanced color theory and a specialized art form of hand-painting the hair, as well as styling and cutting techniques.
Ability to supply own models for class is an ABSOLUTE MUST! The possessing of styling skills is a BIG PLUS!
Proof of license and 2 or more years of in-salon experience is necessary for consideration.

FITNESS INSTRUCTORS
Lucille Roberts Health Clubs is the largest women’s fitness club in the Northeast area. We are seeking Fitness Instructors who will motivate our members to lose weight!
Responsibilities include:
• Maintains quality class by beginning on time and ending on time; prepares lessons in accordance with policy; has all music ready and cued; instructor is prepared and has class planned prior to start of class; music and exercise choices should be changed frequently (at least once weekly).
• Provide quality service to membership by being courteous. Polite and available for
questions or suggestions by participants; projects a positive attitude toward members.
• Promotes fitness programs by remaining current with club programs and events.
• Presents a professional image by wearing neat, clean and appropriate clothing (leotard or
fitted tops, biker shorts or leggings). Must have clean aerobics shoes, hair must be
clean and secured to head.
• Ensure proper substitute for class in case of illness, emergency or time off requests. All
subs must be approved prior to date(s)/class(es) requiring a time off. No show, no job.
• Contributes to the team effort in the club to effectively achieve all of the above.
• Brings their own music their classes.
EDUCATION/BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
College degree in Physical Education or related field preferred. Certification by nationally recognized organizations: AFFA, ACSM, ACE OR NSCA. Current CPR/AED certifications.
