FCI is seeking auditors to work on our energy efficiency programs and projects in the New York City greater metropolitan area. They will be part of a team which will identify, define and coordinate energy efficiency and demand reduction projects for small and mid-size businesses and other customers in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island and Westchester areas. This team will work with public utilities to achieve aggressive energy reduction goals in the State of New York. This position will report to a Field Supervisor in conducting work.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducting outreach and education to targeted customers and scheduling audits with them
Auditing multiple businesses per day
Conduct field analysis of business sites for energy savings opportunities.
Auditing energy saving measures related to lighting, HVAC, faucet aerators and refrigeration for customers up to 100 kWh demand
Determine the best energy-saving equipment alternative.
Determining qualifying measures and techniques and the evaluating successful measure implementation
Program reporting input
Tabulating and inputting audit findings in spreadsheets
Communicate survey results, cost savings, equipment data and recommendations to business customers.
General assistance as needed
The ideal candidate will have strong project execution skills, familiarity with building systems and operation, including some specific knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, lighting and refrigeration systems. Training related to program operations will be provided.
Position Requirements Include:
Direct sales experience highly desirable
Communication and persuasive skills in working with potential customers are essential
At least a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, must be able to interact with a diverse customer base and maintain effective working relationships.
Must be fluent and proficient in English.
Bilingual language proficiency is not necessary, but is a plus.
Ability to follow general instructions and work effectively as part of a group.
Flexible and able to accomplish assigned tasks working independently or with a minimum of supervision.
Prioritizing assignments and workload appropriately and responding to deadlines effectively.
Must be able to walk several City Blocks without difficulty and lift light boxes/equipment, up to 50 pounds.
Must not have any pre-existing condition that would keep you from performing all required duties at maximum skill level.
