I am looking to sublet my one bedroom apartment for the month of December. It would be unfurnished, since I need to move out a month early due to a job change.

This would be a great place for someone moving to the city who needs to store stuff while they figure out next steps. Also, I'm sure that if you like the place you could speak to the management company and sign a lease. Given the economy, I think you would be able to negotiate a lower price than I was paying ($1350).

The apartment is brand new. It was totally renovated before I moved in two years ago. It has a marble bathroom, and all new appliances in the kitchen (including a built in microwave). The ceilings are high and the wood floor is lovely.

The apartment is located two blocks away from the 7 train, with a 20 minute commute into Manhattan. Seriously, it takes me the same time to get to work in Grand Central now as it did when I lived on the Upper East Side. The 7 train is perhaps the best train in all of NYC, especially during rush hour!! You also have access to the express E, F trains at 74th st. & Roosevelt ave.

Jackson Heights is a great little neighborhood with tons of fun Indian and South American restaurants. This is a great apartment in a great neighborhood and I'm sad to be leaving.

It is also a good deal for you! Even though I pay $1350, I am willing to do the sublet at $1000. I realize it is hard to find someone to rent an unfurnished apartment for a month, which is why I really want to make a deal. Take a look at the pics and keep in mind that all the clutter and the cute puppy will no longer be there when you move in.

The downstairs is a common area, which consists of a small kitchen and the living space with a T.V and a couch and 2 windows. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and one bathroom. 2 laundromats a block away each, a supermarket right behind the house, and a few places to eat as well. The neighborhood is great if you commute into manhattan and even greater if you have a car and stay in mostly queens.

Your room: You're room is about 12'' x 9'' feet with one window, but plenty of sunlight, and a closet. There is a twin size bed with a set of three drawers in the base of it, if you want. ( it sounds really tiny, the room is a decent size and comfy to live in)

Your room mates: are 2 koreans: one girl and one guy in our early twenties. Both smokers. We're very chill, very friendly, we are very much like a family.

You: Chill, generally Tolerant of things. and responsible enough to pay your incredibly decent rent. We split utilities 3 ways which really doesnt come out to much, and internet which is 10 dollars a month for each person plus elect around $~15

I am heading home for the holidays for two weeks and am looking for someone interested in subletting my furnished room.

My apartment is in Long Island City, one stop from Grand Central on the 7 (Vernon-Jackson), one of the most convenient and cleanest trains in the city. It is also very close to the G (21st-Van Alt) and the E/V (Courthouse Sq). It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and faces south on the tenth-floor of a newly built high-rise building on the waterfront of the East River (the view is astounding - see pic). The rental includes access to a gym, a clubhouse, a private park, and a roof deck. A wine shop, a popular Chinese restaurant, and a dry cleaner are on the first floor. There is also a giant state park in front of the building, and a Duane Reade and a full-size grocery store akin to Whole Foods right across the street. The available room is 11' x 17'. It has a walk-in closet and its own bathroom (see pic).

The other tenants of the apartments 3 bedrooms are my younger brother a grad student at Parsons in pursuit of a dual masters degree in architecture and architectural lighting design and a young French couple who are visiting the U.S. for 6 months and interning for FI:AF.

The neighborhood is sort of a cross between Hoboken and Williamsburg, and is home to a number of great restaurants, shops, bars, and city-wide attractions such as P.S. 1 and Harry's Water Taxi. A lot of film and TV productions shoot in the neighborhood (from Baby Mama to Gossip Girl), as Silvercup Studios is just down the block. LIC is where Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens all meet. It is a great place - right across the water from the U.N.. I moved into the apartment after stints in Brooklyn and Manhattan and, after three years, could not be happier with the location. I am much closer to most events that occur in and around the city than the vast majority of people that I know.

The bedroom is ideal for a couple. It has a Queen-sized bed, a sofa, two desks, and plenty of space to store clothes and whatever else you may have with you. The apartment possesses all the conveniences you would expect in a luxury apartment, including a 52" HDTV (with cable, a PS3, Wii, and huge DVD/Blu-ray collection), a fully equipped kitchen, and WiFi access.

The house is on 39th pl, near 50th ave, which is like 3 blocks down from the 40th st/Lowery stop on the 7 train - perfect for commuting to midtown Manhattan. Me, I'm 23 and a programmer and I work out of my room but my roomate (29) works as an engineer and midtown and says its like 30 minutes to get to work, total. In the area you have Greenpoint ave, which has bus service that can get you to Greenpoint, Brooklyn in like 10 minutes. You also are a few subway stops from Long Island City, Astoria, and Woodside. Sunnyside itself is a very safe neighborhood. Lots of diversity too. (also its in GTA4 as 'Schottler')

We are pretty cool, easy going, and relaxed. We work a lot so we like the environment of the house to be very relaxed, no drama. No house parties, but of course you can have people over. The Landlady asks all smoking be done outside. We're pretty clean and hope you are too (not the crazy kind, but the kind where if you don't do the dishes right away, you do get to them later). Ideally it would be great if you are around our age (early 20's to early 30's) and is perfect for a student, someone interning, young professional, or artist with dependable income.

Hello, I am traveling for the next two months, December 1st to January 31st

The APARTMENT: is spacious, clean and furnished with all amenities. Every room has air-condition/heat that works great. The kitchen includes everything. Two full bathrooms, but you will not have to share because the room that is being offered includes its own full bathroom. There are lots of windows in the apartment. Great for privacy. In the back has a huge grass-covered backyard, and the apartment is located next to a very beautiful park that has a pond. We are positioned on the 2nd floor, the neighbors are nice. The F train is 3 blocks away (less than 5 minute walk) and restaurants and shops are close by as well including all fast food restaurants. The Laundromat is just around the corner as well, everything is walking distance if you don�t own a car. The ROOM: It is the master bedroom it comes with its own full bathroom. There are no critters, the water is always hot and all utilities are included in the rent. Therefore the only thing you pay for is the rent. The room is partially furnished, comes with a television. And it is very big.

I should first say...this is not a listing for an apartment that is available NOW. Sorry if this was mis-leading, but I am trying to get input from potential sublettors.

I'll make this simple.... I am considering moving abroad next year for 6-12 months and I'd want to sublet my apartment. If you are reading this you are obviously looking for a sublet situation. My question is, "would you ever consider a $1500 1BR apartment (NOT a shared apartment situation...you'd have the entire place to yourself!), fully furnished in a minimalist, artistic style, all new S/S appliances and hdwd floors, complete with dishwasher, washer/dryer in the basement, private deck and SHARED back yard (shared with the apartment next door only)....but the apartment is located deep into Queens, and travel time into Union Square is 40 minutes, and travel to Midtown is 45-60 minutes?

I've no idea if most NYC sublettors are FIXATED on Manhattan only, or if people would consider a sublet in Queens.

Also,what KIND of people would be looking for a 6-12 month FURNISHED apartment situation in QUEENS? Temporary business people would sublet in MANHATTAN or find a furnished short-term rental through a professional agency. How realistic is it for me to want to find an individual that is looking for a FURNISHED sublet in QUEENS and willing/able to pay $1500/month?

I will be traveling for two months and therefore I'm subletting my room in an amazing 3 bedroom apartment in Astoria. Available from December 1st - January 31st.

The APARTMENT:
Very spacious and well lit, very clean and completely furnished! There is a fully equipped kitchen, including the dishwasher. Two full bathrooms. And on top of that has a balcony and a huge grass-covered backyard with a barbecue. It is located on the 2nd floor of a brand new building, on a quiet street off of Ditmars avenue. A very colourful neighborhood, packed with restaurants and shops (including a nearby grocery store open 24/7). The laundromat is just around the corner. Ditmars stop (N and W trains) is 10min away.

The ROOM:
Comes furnished!!.. There is a full bed, a dresser, a book shelve, a night stand, a coffee table and, of course, a closet. You would share a full bathroom with only one of the two roommates.

The ROOMMATES:
One male, one female. A musical artist and a PhD student in their late 20's - early 30's. International. Both friendly, mature, clean, responsible, respectful, laid back, well rounded and artistic. We share the love of good food and good cup of tea! We take good care of the apartment as well as of one another. We occasionally have dinners or movie nights together. Non smokers. No pets. No drugs.
