The apartment is a 4-bedroom on 30th av and 36th street in Astoria. It's about 1000 square feet, and my bedroom is about 10x16 (large!). The other bedroom is a little smaller, maybe 8x13. We have a pretty enormous kitcen. yes, there's even a toilet and a shower....sink, too!
Living in the apartment for the month of June will be four people - three of them subletters, the other a 25 year old guy who works in TV Production. he's been living here for two years. He's super nice and super laid back - you'll get along great. One of the subletters has already been chosen, but as i haven't met him i really can vouch for him. although i can confidently say that my roommate would never sublet to anyone who isn't mature and responsible, so you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever. maybe you'll fall in love, that would be nice.
Anyway, our apartment (which is huge) is 5 short blocks from the N train, 3 blocks from a very large supermarket, a large fruit and veggie stand and a rite-aid. There are TONS of restaurants and bars in the area (this is astoria, after all) and we're only 3 blocks from Steinway Street, the center of astoria's commercial district. oh, and we have a really sweet roof...so basically this apartment is amazing and we're crazy for leaving it. but our loss is your gain!
