My kitty Missy is in labor, I want to get her upstairs to the room where I would like her to give birth in because I just recently puyt her stuff in there, my question is how can I get her upsatirs, I'm afraid to pick her up cause I know she's in pain, and do not want her to accidentally bite or scratch me, she never has before but the situation is different now.

Any advise? Or will she find her way upstairs on her own??

For the last 5 years I have nurtured and grown my own java moss in my fish tank - there are quite a lot now and i can finally cut some to sell. These are hard to find in aquarium shops, and when you do find them, they are either not for sale or very expensive for a tiny clump (i was so frustrated when i first went looking for them 5 years ago).

You can place them just like that in the tank, or you can tie them around a piece of rock or drift wood and it will eventually attach itself to the object (though it takes a while, and you will need to have some light).

I am posting for a nice senior lady who has been trying to find a new home for her sweet 10 yr old cat. Due to her serious illness she cannot care for him much longer.

Due to a family illness, Max a 10 year old very friendly, healthy and affectionate kitty needs a new, loving home. He loves to be vacuumed and loves to be in the sun and likes to lay on the balcony enjoying the sunshine.

Max has been the only cat in the home for a long time so probably won't do well with another cat though if it meant getting him a home we can certainly give it a try.

I looked up your ad and you have been posting since August 3rd. Gee. You really gave it a GOOD TRY didn't you??? A whopping 5 days to determine their fate. Kiss and hug them goodbye at the shelter. The needle is going to be gently placed in the vein in their leg. Pits don't make it out. Very nice.

It breaks my heart, but I must find new homes for my two pits, Chynna and Blaze (don't have to stay together) I have had these dogs since they were puppies, and I am now forced to leave my home. Both are sweet lovable Pit-Bulls. Blaze LOVES CATS more than any dog I ever met, and is good with female dogs. He pulls on the leash a bit, but is really mushy. Chyna is my cuddle monkey. She loves kids, chases cats, but will never hurt them, so she could be trained to be with cats. She loves affection.
Chyna is 4 years of age, around 50 lbs, and spayed. Blaze is about 60 lbs. and is 6 years old, neutered. If you can help in any way to keep me from having to put my sweet babies in a shelter, I would be so grateful. Thank you!

Dont be fooled, plenty of Sitters at home keep tiny crates in the back room for pets thet pee all over or chew every thing around, & still charge $50 night
Yes, some kennels charging $12or $50 night can shove you in a tiny cage & neglect your pet too.
Most sitters seem to have a love of pets, others it's just about QUICK CASH PERIOD, no over head & no real risk, here today gone tomorrow.
Don't think that because a reputable Kennel charges a LOW RATE means Poorservice. You can check them out on line, inspect there licences & info
The Poster States High Prices for sitters, Gee Paying $50 a night, several walks, feeding & watering responsibilities WOW $50 ($2 hour really rip off huh)
And Kennels charging $25 night ( Real rip off at $1 hour for the responsibility)

I was looking for a sitter because I was last minute and my regular girl was busy so I came on here to find another sitter. Right now I pay $ 20 a night and thats good considering my baby isnt in a cage and the girl is great and responsble. I called atleast 8 people on craigslist who arent bonded or insured either and they ask for $ 40,50, even $ 75( in manhatthan) and thats crazy. Same care, etc and its double and triple the price and its further for me to travel. It makes you think if the other people care about the pets they watch or the money. I found a nice clean kennel for $ 25.00, How can people on craigslist ask for more than a kennel that has the background etc. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. I dont mind paying the same but more.. Not me for .. thanks

This little boy was born on 3/11/08 from Somavia and Ritterspach lines. He has the cutest little face and is such a sweet boy! He is very social and not at all shy of people. He enjoys nibbling your fingers and nails (most chins do). He's v ery active at night and you'll catch him bouncing off the walls of his cage or ringing his bell toys.

He was born from Malo-free lines and has a pedigree. I'm not rehoming a petshop pet, he is from a reputable breeder and I guarantee he has no genetic defects. Adoption/Rehoming fees apply and I'd like for potential adoptees to know about chinchillas (strict diets, toys, cage material, temperature, high quality dust baths).

He will be going to his new home with 30lbs of Mazuri/Tradition food, 4lbs of Kleenmama's HIGH QUALITY timothy hay, and 35lbs of TOP QUALITY Blue Cloud dust.

Its a shame you people wont give them a chance because of all the BS you hear. ALL dogs can bite, fight and kill, not ONLY the pitbull. Stop blaming everything on the breed. Most pitbulls are gentle and loveable unless the OWNERS raised them different. Studies show that statistically cocker spaniels and golden retrievers are more dangerous than Pitbulls. END THE DEED ON THE BREED.
FACT: On a list of the 100 most dangerous dogs, the pitbull was 4th. FROM THE BOTTOM.
Stop critizing these dogs. To be a true animal lover you must have unconditional love for every breed of animal. And you shouldnt EVER judge a breed for a few mishaps that were cleary the OWNERS fault. A dog's personality is built by the owner. So,"Animal Lovers"- MY ASS!

You want to talk ignorance, here's a reality check for ya, Retrievers can be just as nasty as any pit bull, and so can little maltese dogs, chi's and so on, I had a Purebred Golden Retriever that I adopted from a shelter 4 yrs ago, that had to be put down because he bit, and I'll tell you what, it was just as bad as any pit bite I've ever seen. You want to talk about killer instinct, look at yourself, you, who I'm sure never owned a pit are condeming these animals because you fear them, I have several friends who have owned their pits since they're pups, with young children in their houses,and they are the sweetest dogs, because they are trained to be house pets, not guard dogs. ALL animals have a killer instinct, they cannot speak when they're pissed off, upset, not feeling well, or feel they are being neglected, they're actions show us what they're feelings are, ANY dog that is not trained properly, will attack, and in the same respect, if you are raising any type of animals with young children around, you must also raise the child not to ABUSE the dog! Pulling on its tail, ears, sitting on its back, is a sure way to get BIT, if you teach your children to have respect for the animal then the animal will not bite, if you are IGNORANT and assume that ANY animal will continue to take abuse from an adult or child then someone is gonna get BIT, its really that simple, and for someone with such a simple mind that should be very easy for you to understand. You cannot judge an entire species on a few bad apples, if that was the case the human race would have been extinct a long time ago. I DO agree that EVERY dog, should be thoroughly tested when they are brought into a shelter before they are put up for adoption, like many rescue's have said, sometimes the dogs are abused so badly that reguardless to how friendly they may be at first, all it takes is for someone to make a move towards the dog that will trigger a bad memory and that will set the dog off. Again, thats instinct, and we as humans have the same instincts. An abused child or adult will cower or sometimes SWING to protect themselves if they feel threatened, even tho in the back of their minds they know they are safe, survival instincts kick in. You will not blame a child or adult for taking a swing at you, if you know they have a history of abuse, but yet you will, willingly put a pit down knowing it has a history of abuse...I see a lot of things daily on craigslist that I do not like. Everyone has an opinion, and everyone is willing to make life decisions for these animals, whether it be giving them up, taking them to a shelter, breeding them till they're ready to die, having them neutered or spayed, because they say "too many animals are being dumped" sorry but in my book that doesn't give anyone the right to choose whether or not an animal should be able to reproduce, we have plenty of children being born everyday that no one wants, so do we euthanize them? spay/neuter their parents? Its wrong to take away any living things right to reproduce. I don't know about you, but I've seen Momma dogs after their puppies have been taken from them, they look sad and depressed and they miss their babies, DOGS sometimes make better parents that most humans do. I'm sick to death of seeing animals suffer because people are idiots.
And I'm sick of seeing everyone posting on here boo hooing about whats right and wrong, and what the fate of these animals should be...All living creatures have a purpose for being here just like we do. So seriously get over yourselves. STOP thinking that just because you may be animal lover you know whats best for these dogs, you don't. And please stop assuming that you know about certain breeds just because you watch TV alot, or read the newspaper, both of which are filled with nothing but BAD news, no one ever see's the good that these animals can do, because you will never see THAT on the news, you will only see the horror stories. Pits, retrievers,labs, shepards, chi's, maltipoo's, rotti's, have all proven to be very good companions to a lot of people going into their senior years. As far as I'm concerned, that just shows that not all PITS are evil dogs, they just need the right owners with the right experience to care for them. If nothing else, these dogs should only be adopted out to people who are willing to work with and train them properly, and who have many years experince dealing with shelter dogs. These animals need to feel safe and secure, they need to know that their new "owner" will not hurt them, or abandon them when they're done using them. Anyway, FLAG this if you must, I really don't care, but even if a few people get to see this, my point has gotten across.

2 year old blue and gold Macaw for adoptionI am the last person to have ever thought I would give up my furry friend but I know I am doing an unjustice to her by not giving her my attention. I work full-time and go to college full-time and by the time I get home I am so exhausted I can't even THINK of anything but sleep.

I think it would be best if Mena (Her name) find a new home that can give her the love and care she deserves.

She is hand tamed and doesnt not bite. If you are a stranger, she will open her beak at you and tell you to get away. She did the same with me, but once she gets to know you...she will happily hang out on your shoulder or hand =).

The words phrases she says:
"I love you"
"Hello"
"You Like it?"
"MmMmmMm"

She is really cute, and usually will always ask you "If you like it" when you are earing dinner. Her wings are clipped(by a vet), so I often bring her out and about. She has NO PLUCKING issues. Fully feathered and a total beauty. She comes with 2 stands. 1 is a king stand, one is a regular pet store stand (6ft high) and lastly a tree play gym. In addition to all this, bags of food, pellets and seeds. A 60 dollar toy, unbreakable bird bell, various perches etc. etc.

There is an adoption fee with all three cages and perches included.
This was my first big bird, and therefore I wont say big bird experience is a must, I will guide you throughout the adjusment phase! I also have vet records of her checkups that I can provide!

She is banded.

THIS SWEET FRIENDLY and LOVING GAL URGENTLY NEEDS A NEW HOME!! ROXIE is a sweet 1.5 yr old female brindle shephard/pit mix... she originally was brought to the shelter at the end of last year as a stray. Poor Roxie, she was sooo emaciated, the shelter staff thought she was a little reindeer when she was brought in (see top two photos)... a rescue group pulled her and placed her in a foster home that fattened her up ... she turned out to be such a loyal lovable sweet princess of a dog. (see bottom photos) She's great with all people, big and small and all dogs big and small... her only vice is that she's not great with cats even though she lived with (2) of them...she tended to chase them so the owner just kept the cats in a separate room... although they were let out every now and then and the owner felt that Roxie could be trained with them...due to emergency, foster can no longer keep her..

Roxie is at a boarding kennel, The employees love her and she loves them but she is very sad, its also costing Cheri $28 a day to board her. We are going broke..the boarding kennel is located in Woodside/Queens Blvd. If you would like to meet her, CALL THE NUMBER BELOW..
