Hi, I want to buy a 120 gallon - the size is 48 x 24 x 25. not the longer one.

As long as the tank is in great condition, I will buy it.

Tank + stand preferred but tank only can also be fine.

I am not a child, so I wouldn't ask a ridiculous offer for your item. Don't worry.

Please have some pictures of it so that I can see it clearly(especially silicons and upper side support beams of the tank).

I can travel to look it up if the condition in the picture is good.

I am trying to find a loving home for a stray cat that I picked up and took care of for about two months now. She is approx. 1 yr and 8lbs she is petite in size. I have taken her to the vet to make sure that she is healthy. It seems as though she is also spayed. I believe that she may have gotten lost from a previous owner, because she did not run away when I tried to grab her. She loved to be pet, she likes to play and is litter trained. However I had no luck finding anyone that may have lost her. I have tried to contact some adoption places to see if they would take her, but everything was full.
I already own two cats and cannot afford to keep her. I would like to find someone who has a good heart for animals and would give her attention and lots of love. She is not used to other animals and I believe it would be safer if she was the only pet (for now at least until she gets used to her new home). I have a 3 year old male long-haired Dachshund named Charlie.
I'm a paramedic for the city and I work nights. In about 3 weeks time, my work schedule is going to change and twice a week I will
have to work 16 hour shifts. Of course this is entirely too long for my little guy to be without a bathroom break.
I'm looking for a dog walker that doesn't mind taking Charlie for a walk around 10 or 11 o'clock at night on a rotating schedule - meaning the nights I'll have you walk him will change every week. I'm able to provide a set schedule one month in advance. There are also occasional opportunities to walk Charlie more than twice a week.

Weezy is a 23 month old male purebred Pomeranian. He is a rare blue merle color & is AKC registered. I need to rehome Weezy because i also have a Cane Corso at home that is a male. It is getting more & more difficult for me to have 2 males in the home because they both are trying to be the alpha male. If you know what a cane corso is, you know they are HUGE dogs, well over 100 pounds. Weezy is MAYBE 7 pounds. I don't crate my dogs, but I work full time, and the kids are in school all day, so there is noone home to supervise the two of them, who are constantly going at it since they became GROWN. Weezy is intact, so he began marking, & they seem to be in competition. It's just too much now. I will not let just ANYONE have Weezy. I will be very selective, as he is a very spoiled baby who is used to getting alot of attention & love. I would prefer someone who has another pom, or who will be home with Weezy & able to continue spoiling him. I've tried this before, but changed my mind & decided to keep trying to keep them both home. Unfortunately it isn't working, so I must rehome one of them & I am too scared to try to rehome the Cane Corso, because I don't want him to wind up in someone's yard or garage. They are both indoor pets & have been treated like family since they were babies. If you think you can give Weezy a good home, please contact me. Serious inquiries only please. Tickles is a simply wonderful dog that has been sadly overlooked at the shelter for too long! Tickles came to us via animal care and control where her owner dumped her when he was moving. Tickles was heartbroken but she persevered. She has charmed all of the staff and volunteers at the shelter - just take a look at some of the new pictures on an outing!

Tickles is super affectionate and loves to give kisses and flop over on her back for belly rubs. Her favorite toy is the tennis ball and she is an ace at fetch. She is only about 40 lbs., a perfect size for an apartment or smaller house. Tickles knows many basic commands and excels in her obedience classes. She is also completely housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go out. She is great with all the people she meets.

Her newest best friend is a ten year old volunteer at the shelter who comes on the weekends to play fetch with her and practice obedience. As for other dogs, Tickles is very playful though she hasn't been socialized too much with them, so she can tend to play rough and could use some brushing up on her play skills. She tends to mind her own business around dogs she isn't interested in playing with.

I need some advice before a dog dies

My name is Kacie. I need some help and advice from the community about a dog I just got. I can not reveal all of the details here and will change some because the person I got her from might find out and take the mama and pups and do who knows what with them. But here is my dilemma. I just fostered a dachshund with 5 newborn pups. The people asked me to keep an eye on the pups and the mama and daddy until the pups were old enough to be sold, and that I could keep the money from one of the pups to cover my costs for boarding them. They said that if I did not board them that they would all have to go to the pound to be euthanized because they could not have them in their apartment (their lease only allows 2 dogs at a time) and could not afford a boarding fee. Now these dogs are registered CKC. Here is my problem. When I got them yesterday I noticed that the mama dog is VERY skinny. I know that dogs who have nursing puppies tend to be a little skinnier than usual, but this dog is so skinny that her backbone and ribs are clearly visible. I brought her home and have been feeding her dog food high in vitamins and minerals and proteins, and also cooking her chicken and tuna and giving them to her to try to keep her milk supply up along with giving her warm milk and put some weight on her. I am unsure of just what to do because I have never had to take care of a nursing dog before, so I heard from lots of posts on the internet that I should feed her what I mentioned. I am VERY concerned that she has not only been neglected veterinary care but that she has also been bred back to back to back so many times that she is in danger of death from this. I don't know what to do. I mean, I have approximately $1500 worth of dogs that these people clearly own and have papers on (the parents have papers. I don't know if they have registered the pups yet), but they are going to sell these pups at purebred prices and I don't think this is their first rodeo, and also they are going to breed this mom until she dies. How would i go about getting custody of this mom and her pups so that I could make sure they get approprate homes and get authorization to have the mom spayed. I fear that if I sneak off and have her spayed before I return her that they are going to think she is useless and kill her or just dumpe her somewhere and she is FAR too sweet for that. I need some help. I really fear for the life of this sweet mama dog and her adorable pups. I don't know much about these people that I got these 7 dogs from but they seemed nice and sweet and like they truly cared, but I found out from local area craiglist users that this is not the first time this family had bred these dachshunds and pawned them off on someone else as soon as the pups were born until the pups were sold by the person who owned them. It breaks my heart. I don't want to take these dogs from the owners if they genuinely love them, but I also don't want to see an animal as sweet as this one die from euthanization or over breeding. If anyone has suggestions or knows what I can do from a legal stand point, please e-mail me and help me save this beautiful dog!!

I have RED recovering from his neuter in my home. He will have to be released tomorrow afternoon and this just breakes my heart. I'm slowly getting all our "feral" cats spay neutered and trying to save them from a brutal winter. Inside we are full to the limit. If someone would take a change on Red I have no doubt you won't regret it. He's beautiful and gentle and sweet. He IS afraid and he WILL hiss if you get a foot away. But I know from experience this will all fall to the wayside once he's been loved and fed regularly.

I read this post and I disagree with what it says and the implications it makes about rescue groups. About the only sensible suggestion you make is to ask for copies of the animal's medical records which is obvious.

You say that a Rescue Group should only pass along the exact medical cost and costs of care for each cat/dog they adopt out. If the delta between absolute cost of medical care and the adoption fee is too high, you say that you should walk away. So each animal should have an adoption fee that varies based on actual cost of medical and,routine care?

What happens when a rescue group pulls an animal from a shelter or rescues an animal from a bad situation (found in parking lot, found wandering in yard, found on road) that turns out to be very sick. What happens when that rescue spends huge sums of money on medical care? Would the one person who adopts that "once sick and now healthy" animal be expected to assume the full burden of that animal's medical care costs? Is this what you suggest?

For example, a Rescue Group recently pulled a cat from the NYC CACC who had been thrown 11 floors down an elevator shaft. This poor cat sustained multiple injuries. This cat was sitting in a cage at the ACC in pain, awaiting certain death. This rescue paid over $1700 in vet fees to have the cat's leg amputated and address its other injuries. They raised some money via donations FROM THE RESCUE COMMUNITY and the rescue group personally absorbed the rest of the medical costs. A kind person stepped up to adopt this cat - should they be charged $1700 plus for the adoption fee? By the way this same cat will still need vet visits that the adopting person will pay on their own. Should we have turned our backs on this poor cat? Is that what you suggest? Only rescue healthy animals and leave the others to die?

It stands to reason that the cost of medical and routine care is spread across (ie., amortized) all the animals that a rescue "rescues". Some animals cost more to bring to health, others cost less. Some animals find forever home in a short period of time, others take much longer. Rescues also need a contingency fund to cover the cost of unforseen and extraordinary medical costs for the animals they rescue.

I personally adopted a kitten from a small rescue in NJ (not a registered NonProfit) and paid an adoption fee pf $125. The sibling of my kitten became very ill and the lovely lady who I adopted from spent a good deal of money trying to save that kitten's life. Dear Smudge, ultimately died. I listened to the woman who runs that rescue group weeping each night as she sat up with that kitten giving him IV fluids and stroking his head. I heard about her multiple trips to the vet, I called her during the workday and found her home taking time off to bring the cat to the vet and to stay home to watch over this kitten when his health deteriorated. I heard her despair when Smudge finally died. I wanted to adopt Smudge, but, he had been pre-adopted by another family. He died at 10 weeks of age after falling ill suddenly at age 7 weeks.

I know that included in my adoption fee was the cost of all the other not so healthy cats and kittens she had cared for - some who went on to forever homes and some who ultimately died. My adoption fee included the care for Smudge and all the others. I had no problem with that at all. Small rescues, unlike municipal shelters and the ASPCA, do not retain full time vet staff. They need to pay for vet care - sometimes they get a small discount from kind vets. These rescues pay the full cost of food, KMR milk for bottle feeding and litter - no grants help them out , they do not get donated food from Petco. They depend solely on adoption fees and kind people who give donations (that are not tax deductible) and they reach deeply into their own pockets to cover the rest.

My adoption fee was for my dear Miss Zoey and to help that excellent rescue group continue to save and find homes for other homeless animals. I had no problem with that. And most compassionate and typical potential adopters feel likewise. It is called an "adoption fee" - not reimbursement for the exact cost of medical care and other care for that specific animal.

This two-person NJ rescue group has found homes for over 400 cats and kittens in the past 10 plus years. What's wrong with their practices? Are you accusing this fine NJ rescue organization of dishonesty and greed and of not reporting "adoption fees" on their taxes? This woman devotes two rooms in her own home (which she pays property tax on, electricity, etc) and works hours a day caring for her rescues and finding them homes. She buys food and litter and toys with her own money. She buys KMR to bottle feed with her own money. She works a full-time job as well and cares for a family as well as several elderly people in her community. You are calling this woman dishonest and greedy? If you looked at what she paid for a specific cat for their care, according to your guidelines, her adoption fee would be too high - you would call her greedy and dishonest. You are advising people to walk away from this rescue group. You are wrong... so wrong in your logic. And so wrong in what you say in so many other ways.

I did not think twice about paying $125 as an adoption fee because I knew that wonderful rescue in NJ had also paid out of their pocket countless dollars over the years to try and save other kittens and cats who did not make it or whose medical care was beyond simple shots and tests. Adoption fees are just that, they are for the cost of the pet you adopt and also to help keep the rescues running to care for the more sick animals they also rescue.

I donate to this small NJ rescue and it is not tax deductible as I donate money to several other NJ and NYC rescues who are not NonProfits. I know the money I give them is not supporting their lifestyle as you repeatedly alledge.

If people chose to go to the CACC or ASPCA that's great. But many people who will not and for those who do not, NonProfit and unregistered NonProfits Rescue Organizations provide an alternative to helping people find companion pets for their families - animals who would otherwise die or be put to death in shelters.

Are you suggesting that:
- If the adoption fee exceeds the exact cost of medical and ongoing routine care, the rescue is dishonest and making money on adoptions?
- Rescue groups should only charge the exact cost of medical and care costs and the cost of adoption should then vary depending on how much it cost to get the specific animal healthy and adoptable?
- Rescue groups should ignore and do not rescue animals with colds or other medical issues or nursing moms with young ones because they will incur additional medical costs and would need to charge a higher adoption fee for those sick animals who they make well - and ultimately they would have a lower chance of being adopted?
- Rescue groups should not exist and the only adoption venue should be for people to go to the CACC and ASPCA?

I am interested in hearing you address these concerns and questions. I would like to hear you say that by your guidelines, the NJ rescue I describe and the one that rescued that cat who was thrown down an elevator shaft are dishonest and greedy. Try to tell me that. Just try. But that is in fact what this and many of your other posts suggest.

We found her in our garage about a year ago, and as New York gets pretty cold, we let her stay there for a while. Eventually when the weather got better she not only kept coming back, but she was extremely happy to see us. A stray cat, who would run up to greet us, jump up onto our laps, and lick our hands. The weather started getting bad again, and she got into the habit of waiting outside our backyard door. It broke my heart to see her being blown by heavy gusts, and rained on, yet still remain by our door through it all. We couldn't take it anymore, and we took her in. We have 2 other cats, both boys, and unfortunately one of our brother cats did not like her.
They've tolerated each other for a while, but for some reason a few months ago he started bullying her too much. It's gotten to the point where we need to keep them separated, and our apartment is not big enough to have them separated, but at the same time give them the amount of space they need. Our initial plan was to give her the vaccinations, and see if she could be adoptable, but along the way we got attached to her.
It's hard, but we knew this day would have to come.

-She has had all her shots
-Just turned 2 in October
-Litter trained, never makes a mess
-No health problems
-Rarely gets hairballs
-Loves attention, being cuddled
-Very playful
-Independent, but very affectionate when you're around
-Loves licking to show affection
-Quiet, rarely meows

She's an incredibly sweet cat, who is not demanding at all. She is happy to just be able to be by your side, or keep you company. There will be a small adoption fee, and she will come with her supplies.

Marley is a one year old handsome, super sweet Amer Pit Bull Terrier who was rescued from death row from an overcrowded city shelter. Young, smart, and eager to please, this is a GEM of a dog. Marley is lucky enough to be in a foster home where he is fine with his female canine buddy. He does however butt heads with the male dog of the house. He is fine with their cats. So his ideal home would be as a solo dog, or with another submissive female, and with children 10 and older. Marley is great on the leash, crate trained, and house broken. He loves to be active, and would be a great jogging or walking companion. His affection is outstanding, he loves nothing more than to cuddle in your lap, and melt into your arms.
