Basic Job Description:
Qualified individual will be installing drapery hardware, Roman shades and drapery panels neatly, thoroughly, with attention to detail, and with some design sense. Person will also pick up and deliver items to/from vendors. Person must have a sense of business as they will also be sourcing for new vendors and ordering supplies as needed. Position calls for this individual to have a keen sense of self, someone who is willing to grow with the company; person will be responsible for repairs, car wash and the general maintenance of the company van. It is required that this individual cleans after each installation. Some assembling of shade roller mechanisms, shelving, etc will be done; a willingness to be hands on and pitch in around the office when needed. The job also calls for occasional Saturdays to be worked.
Requirements: Experienced applicants ONLY (no exceptions)
ƒÞ Experienced applicants only! While the person may have training with tools, the installer will also interact with high-end clients
ƒÞ Must have a current CLEAN driver¡¦s license (there will be a lot of driving/parking)
ƒÞ ABSOLUTELY NO traffic violations on record
ƒÞ Must be experienced with power tools: drills, etc. (a plus if they have experience doing installations of any kind)
ƒÞ A well-groomed individual is very much appreciated; (no baggy pants, etc.), articulate, enthusiastic, personable, a willingness to learn, open-minded
ƒÞ Must speak English (Spanish is a plus, but it is absolutely necessary that the person be able to communicate in English)
ƒÞ Must possess good organization skills
ƒÞ Thoroughness and attention to detail a must
ƒÞ A plus to possess some design sense/knowledge
ƒÞ Physically fit (for drilling into cement ceilings, lifting some furniture, etc.)
ƒÞ Possess at least a basic knowledge of computers, with the ability to learn more
Salary: Starting at $15/hr, depending on experience with no benefits.
Additional information:
3 ¡V 4 month probationary period
Hours: 9am ¡V 5pm with flexibility for 1 ¡V 2 evenings a week and occasional Saturdays
