Expanding engineering firm in Long Island City seeks to fill a Civil/Structural Engineer position.

Ideal candidate should be recent college graduate, detail oriented, self motivated, tireless problem solver. Candidate will work closely with firm Principal’s and Project Engineer’s on all aspects of design, document production, change orders, client correspondence, interpretation of documents, shop drawing approvals and other engineering and architectural issues. The position is geared toward surveying pre-war and post war residential and commercial buildings slated for restoration, rehabilitation, and/or repair.

Commitment to excellence and strong interpersonal skills are musts as well as the ability to multi-task and contribute to the office as a whole. Office atmosphere is convivial with an emphasis on teamwork. Communication and proficiency in the English language required both written and verbal.

Requirements include:
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in civil/structural engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCad and Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
