Sophie was returned to the Acc only 24hrs after finding a home.Simply because she threw up after her spay surgery..Sweet Sophie deserves better then that!

We rescued her when it was apparent no one else was stepping up to save her life..With a wing and a prayer we pulled her and have hoped for the best.
Sadly Sophie is having a hard time finding anyone able to truely commit to those soft brown eyes and eager tail waggs.
See miss Sopie is a little energetic Puppy in a BIG dogs body. She needs strong leader ship with a consistent patient person.

a home that understands her high energy level and need for attention.
We do not know what her last two years of life have been like But we can only assume it was full of neglect and love starved.. She craves attention and wants-pushes for it.
Sophie is a 2 yr young Rottie/shepherd mix That got excellent marks on her behavior eval. she has lived with other dogs and for the most part does fine However we think she will do best by herself . She needs all the love you can give. Eager to learn new commands like "sit" and "lay down" she will prove to be an A+ student.. we can even help with the trainer.

What Sophie needs NOW is a real total COMMITMENT of a foster or better yet adopter ASAP.

she is out of time in yet another foster home and we will have NO OPTION but to return her to ACC

She comes with a 50 Gallon tank, accessories for her to climb out of the water and sun on, Heat/UVA & UVB lights, heater, water filter, 25' hose for cleaning the tank with pressure from your kitchen or bathroom sink, lots of food, rocks for the tank, and replacement filter parts.

I've spent a lot of money on all of her accessories and the tank is in great shape. Due to an absurd amount of traveling I have to do for the next few months I'd rather give her to a nice home where there'll be a nice family to take care of her.

Max loves to be with his foster family which includes 2 young children, he would play all day is incredibly good-natured, amusing, extremely loyal and affectionate family pet. He is amazing to watch with the kids. Always obedient and always eager to please ihis master so Max is a guardian of the front door with his bark when the doorbell rings and then licks whom ever is there once they come in.
He is very social with people and other pets, never annoys and ALWAYS backs down gently when another dog is not interested in his approach.. Although some people find him intimidating looking he insists he's a 80 lb lap dog and enjoys walks and is so grateful for any attention you show him.

We at Mercy Animal Hopsital came across a woman who found a small, semi-feral gray tiger tabby a couple of months ago. She was scared, being on the big city streets without her mom to lead her way. We took her in and promised to find a good home for her. Now that's what we're trying to do.

Wilhemina is a beautiful, loving cat. She purs freely and is very playful. She hasn't been around many other animals but I'm sure after some time she would warm up to them and be a great playmate for them. She's quite an active cat, which is why I am looking for a family or someone with other pets so she can keep herself occupied. She doesn't meow too much, but when she misses you... you'll know :)

Ainslie is a small but stocky male tabby cat from the street. He was trapped as part of an ongoing TNR program for ferals, through which he was neutered, vaccinated and eartipped. But he turned out to be super friendly and is currently staying with us. He loves people; other cats ... not so much. But he has been making good progress and has been spotted playing with some of our other foster cats.

He loves being petted and will sit on your lap and grind his face into your hand, purring like a motorboat the whole time. From the looks of him, he had a rough time out on the street, but he survived and now he'll never go back. If you've ever met a reformed street cat, you'll know the special kind of personality it gives them; tough but sweet, and desperate to win your approval. Ainslie really wants to be your friend!

Haley is a small bicolor female cat with big, bright eyes who first arrived at our door emaciated and sporting a huge abscess on her shoulder. With some help from the good folks at Empty Cages Collective, she bounced back and has been staying with us, putting on weight and learning to live indoors again. She's now quite a roly-poly, affectionate lap cat. Her coat is very soft and has splotches of silver tabby markings, which we've never seen on a cat before. She can be skittish and would do best in a single cat household. She can be shy and needs someone who understands how to let her come out of her shell. Please email if interested in meeting her.

I am moving away to Arizona at the end of December and I need to find a new home for my 2 cats. They are brother and sister from the same litter and have never been seperated since they were born. They will be a year old in January. They both love affection and are very playful, they get along well with one another, they have always been litter box trained and there have been no issues with that. I just took them to the vets at the end of October for vaccinations, physicals, and grooming so they won't need any more vaccines for about a year, I will provide the paperwork and tags. Along with them you will also receive their litter box, food and water dishes, any remaining food, all their toys, and their cat carrier. I would like to find someone to take them asap so that I won't be worried about where they're going to go when I leave. I am asking that they please go to the same home as I do not want to seperate them now. I would really like to avoid having to bring them to a shelter. He is wearing a green collar with VPI Pet Insurance tags and his name. He has a crumpled ear from an old injury. Shaggy requires a special diet and his family misses him! He was lost 11/28/2009 in Oyster Bay, NY in the Florence Park neighborhood.

This 4 year old girl called Lady is indeed one. She was found on the streets of New York City, a mere skeleton, still lactating. She had her babies taken from her, was kicked out of her home and dumped on the streets. Yet with all this loss and abuse, she remains kind, sweet, and gentle. She ended up being taken to a very overcrowded city shelter where she was given a good temperament rating, except for food aggression??? Excuse me, this poor girl is emaciated, starved, who would not protect their food if they were in this condition?

Please help save her life, if you can offer a foster home or adoptive home for this gentle lady......or if you would like to contribute to her boarding and care..... she cannot be euthanized for trying to survive. She deserves to know happiness in her life.

BILLY is a big guy at 69 lbs and he is a One-year-old pit mix, a stunning and good muscle boy with a noble soul and a HEART OF GOLD; he has been a very leveled, stable boy at the kill shelter, only pulling a bit on the leash when first getting out of the cage, but who can blame him for that? Before coming to the shelter, he lived in a home, and has learned a lot of good family-dog manners. He doesn't jump up. Gives every indication of being house trained. He's always been fine with the other dogs he met in the courtyard. He has a gorgeous red-chocolate brown coat, white tummy, and white paws that make him look like he's wearing charming white socks and a shirt. NYC: HARLOW, Injured sweet boy, big dog experience needed

Harlow is a 70 pound black staffie mix; he arrived at the shelter as a stray with a big CUT on his front leg, and he was in pain and very sad. Everyone at the shelter fell for this big boy who has been nothing but nice and gentle with everyone and minds his own business with other dogs; he has had a rough time at the shelter, being forced to little activity and in his cage 24x7 due to his injury.
Becausse he is a big boy at 70 pounds, we do want to ease him into a home where he can be separated at first from other dogs and eased into being socialized, while he continues healing and until he is fully well and we know him better, just as a precaution. Harlow just got neutered, has all his shots and is microchipped, too!

All he needs is a loving home who is dog experienced to bring him back to 100% healing and slowly socialize him by showing him that some people with heart and compassion are still out there, and he can live in peace and happiness,too. He deserves it just like anyone else!

Saved from the high kill shelter in manhattan NY, Lucy has thrived and done so well in her temporary foster home, but now they have to move on to their busy fall schedule and Lucy needs a loving and safe HOME to come through asap for her: could it be you? Lucy would love you for it! She is only about 1.8yrs old, she is great indoors and out, walking well on the leash (she still pulls a little, but she is so tiny she will be so easy to teach!); she gets excited and vocal if she sees other dogs on a leash, but Lucy does not mean harm: she just was never exposed to much or other dogs. As long as she goes with a dog experienced enough caretaker who can show her the ropes, give her some basic training and structure, ease her into new horizons, she will do great!
