We will be launching our first line, a line of adaptive children's clothing called "Soft Clothing for  All Children" in 2009. Job Responsibilities:   <br>
Reporting directly to the Chairperson and the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for both overall and day-to-day management of this non-profit organization at its pivotal point of national expansion.  The ED will work with the regional leadership to implement a comprehensive strategic plan to ensure continued growth of the organization in New York and expansion to other major cities nation wide.  The ED will be directly responsible to maximize contributed income to the Organization and to maintain a high level of programming. She/He has primary responsibility for the financial goals, objectives, and budget of Human Rights First.   The Director of Finance oversees the investment of funds, supervises cash management activities, oversees and directs the development and management of operating and capital budgets, and protects the financial assets of the organization.  <br>

Primary responsibilities will include:<br>

•	Maintenance of and adherence to Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual; <br>

•	Ability to interact with Board and members of C-Suite; <br>

Leveraging the time and relationships of the President, the Director of Development will strengthen existing relationships through strategic and ongoing stewardship with its extraordinary network of supporters including leading American foundations, European Ministries of Foreign Affairs and elite Arab Foundations.  In addition, the Director of Development will research, initiate, and cultivate new relationships, and will lead the proposal writing and grant reporting processes. Teachers report to School at 7:30 a.m. and work through the school day until 3:30.  One day each week, teachers will remain at School until 5 pm for a faculty meeting. JOB DESCRIPTION:  Groundwork Inc. is looking for highly-motivated, organized, detail-oriented instructors to teach core subject areas to high school students enrolled in Groundwork for Success, a college preparatory program that offers leadership development and internship experience to students from the high-poverty community of East New York, Brooklyn. The teachers will facilitate classes in a core subject area of English, Science, Math, and Saturday Academy and lead skill-building classes of 15 students for 10-15 hours per week. The goal of these skill-building classes is to improve students’ competency in the specific subject area.   <br>

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>
•	Develop and deliver class instruction for high school students of various ages and ability levels following the state standards.<br>
•	Oversee assessment of students’ competency levels pre and post-term.<br>
•	Assume primary role in assessing students with remedial needs, and develop appropriate curriculum and intervention strategies.<br>
•	Support program evaluation through accurate record keeping and cooperation with internal and external evaluation resources.<br>
•	Support long term sustainability of the program by working with GWS Program Director and Academic Coordinator for logistics.  <br>
•	Coordinate work with other program staff when relevant.  Attend regular staff meetings as requested.<br>
•	Attend staff development meetings.<br>

REQUIREMENTS:  <br>
•	The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree and has had experience teaching specific subject area at the high school level. Graduate students pursuing a Master’s degree are also encouraged to apply.<br>

Little Kids Rock (LKR) is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Director of Development who will have primary responsibility for overseeing the strategic development, coordination and implementation of LKR’s fundraising initiatives. Performance: Ensure that new member and financial goals are achieved
for the region by ensuring that each office achieves the following

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of SUBSTANCE ABUSE SPECIALIST to work 29 East Second Street, one of our Supportive Housing Programs, located in Manhattan.<br>

The Substance Abuse Specialist provides support services as defined by regulatory contracts and Community Access guidelines to assigned program participants; including assistance with defining personal, vocational and educational goals; provide additional assistance to program participants using a person-centered model that supports individuals in their recovery, hopes and opportunities; and by using a harm reduction model, identify needs for substance abuse counseling and education at the program site and provides substance abuse services.<br>
<br>
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and preferably a BA degree; three to five years experience working with substance abuse and psychiatric disabilities; training in substance abuse issues essential; must be fingerprinted and cleared by the Office of Mental Health (OMH). <br>
<br>
We are seeking candidates that are bilingual Chinese/English-speaking.<br>

General Description<br>
The Career Services and Education Supervisor oversees the Department and provision of services.  The services provided by the Department include ESL Classes, GED classes, job training, and computer instruction.  The Supervisor provides support to staff to help them implement contract goals. The Supervisor is a member of the administrative staff and reports directly to the Executive Director and his designated staff.  <br>
<br>
The Career Services Program includes an intensive work readiness workshop that prepares individuals for the workforce.  The Supervisor oversees the coordinator of this program and provides instruction and supervision as needed.  The Supervisor helps to ensure that individuals are prepared for the workforce and supervises and assists students with job readiness preparation including career counseling, resume preparation and other services as needed. <br>
<br>
The Education Program consists of ESL education, GED, and Civic instruction.  It also includes academic support for youth.  The Supervisor provides supervision to the teachers and staff that implement these services.  The Supervisor ensures that program components operate in compliance with contract regulations.  The Supervisor also provides direct support services as needed to youth and adults.  <br>

The Computer Services Program consists of computer education classes.  The Supervisor oversees the provision of these services and ensures coordination of these services across the department.  <br>

<br>
Employment Status<br>
Full time.  This position also requires working some evenings when required to help coordinate and oversee the operation of the department and its programs and services. <br>
<br>

Supervision<br>
The Career Services and Education Supervisor will report directly to the Executive Director and his appointed supervisory staff.  The Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of his/her department.  <br>

<br>
Additional Responsibilities as a Supervisor<br>
General <br>
-	Keep Executive Director and supervisors informed of program activities via both written and verbal communication. <br>
-	Complete monthly, and quarterly and other written reports as required by the program contracts and the administration on activities related to Education, Career Services, Computer Services and related programming.  <br>
-	Oversee Department and ensure that goals and objective are achieved.  <br>
-	Maintain accurate and up to date contact lists of participants and ensure the progress is monitored with department participants.<br>
-	Provide support and assistance to Department staff to ensure that goals and objectives are reached. <br>
-	Assist with supervision and evaluation of staff. Work in collaboration with administration and the fiscal department to ensure that the department operates with program mandates and objectives. <br>
-	Assist with program and agency development including grant writing to support program objectives, and agency growth. <br>
-	Assist with other tasks as needed by the Executive Director or other administrative staff to help the organization continue to grow and address community needs. <br>

Minimum Educational Requirements: <br>

<p>We have played an important role in building support for  Senator Obama during his candidacy for the Presidency. •	With the Director of PCHP, coordinate the PCHP training schedule for Family Visitors by the certified PCHP training provider<br>
•	Assist the Director of PCHP with coordinating the PCHP training of Family Visitors with WCECA (Women’s Center for Education and Career Advancement)<br>
•	Provide family resource referrals for families who are eligible, but not in receipt of, public benefits to support self-sufficiency<br>
•	Assist the Director of PCHP with planning workshops and contributing ideas and resources for parent workshop to empower families to be involved in their children’s education.<br>
•	Provide monthly reports on activities, client and program progress to the literacy training department; communicate needs and accomplishments on an ongoing basis; attend literacy initiative meetings<br>
•	Supervise the required sample of home visits to families to deliver the PCHP curriculum to empower families to support and enhance their child’s education<br>
•	Maintain a minimal caseload of families to provide direct service<br>
•	Provide adult education referrals for family members who are interested in and could benefit from further education.  <br>
•	Plan the PCHP 2 hour weekly staff meetings.<br>
•	Provide monthly reports on home visits, curriculum activities, client and program progress to the PCHP Coordinator<br>

Qualifications:<br>
•	A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Service, Counseling, Social Services or equivalent experience <br>
•	At least 2 years successful supervisory experience<br>

•	Sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of a multicultural population<br>
•	Ability to work as a team member and manage multiple responsibilities<br>

Responsibilities:<br>
•	Assist Director with maintenance of the National PCHP MIS System<br>
•	Assist Coordinator(s) and Director with records, inventory and maintenance of all purchased materials<br>
•	Assist with distribution and collection of all prescribed evaluations and tools <br>
•	Assist with various facets of data collection <br>
•	Assist with Outreach and Recruitment <br>
•	Assist with development, planning, purchasing of items, etc. for all program events<br>
•	Ensure maintenance of all forms, i.e. Flyers, Intake Forms, e
