I front a hard rocking Blues band that has been playing live in NYC for several years, but needs management to take it to the next level. Unfortunately, it is very difficult for unmanaged artists to get shows at the best venues for Blues in this city....i.e. B.B. King's and Terra Blues.

I have plans to record a studio CD in the not too distant future and it currently is slated to be produced by and feature an internationally known and respected recording artist.

We are a very tight and fun band that never leaves patrons unhappy. We just need more opportunities to prove that we are one of the best damn Blues bands in this city and I think I've taken us just about as far as I think I can without experienced guidance.

This is a long term project that has been running small scale for 7 years with different lineups as I (Jonny) moved from Kalamazoo MI to Madison WI to Burlington VT to Brooklyn. Aquadora is currently a guitar/bass/drums trio. We are working to bring our live sound up above the level of the recordings I have done over the last few years, but we haven't gotten there yet. Our drummer works 9-5 and can't commit enough time right now. I am looking for someone who can just kill it live and make some real progress. Our bassist is also busy with several projects. I want to get together with some different people soon and see if I can find a better fit for bass, drums or both.

Must be able to practice twice a week for starters and play 3-4 local and regional shows per month this summer. Must have a good amount of live and recording experience. Must have a good sense of humor and also be serious as death about making great music and a great band. We would prefer you be in your 20s, like to party but not be a junkie, be a safe driver, and want to tour like a motherf*cker once we get this shit burning.

We have toured across the US several times and plan to play a bunch of shows in NYC, Philly, and Boston this summer, and some longer tours this fall as we build our show. If you need a singer for your demo, that's great. There are lots of singers who'd love to sing for your demo. However, you should really specify the style and range you're looking for. This is very important. Some singers are good at rocking out, others are good at sounding cute, or twangy, or sexy, or whatever else. Smart singers, in particular, are also good at knowing what their voices are best suited for. So, if you are more specific with the style you're looking for, you're more likely to get replies from intelligent singers who know their range and what works for their voice. Otherwise it sounds like you don't know what you're doing and/or don't care, and not only will you get a bunch of replies from totally inappropriate singers, but some potentially perfect singers might ignore your post because it sounds like you don't care enough about the people responding to offer helpful stylistic details.

Intermediate Drummer looking to get back in the game (Upper East Side)

I used to be a pretty amazing drummer. Haven't hit the tubs in about 10 years, but have a lot of time on my hands and have been feeling the urge to take another turn and make it serious lately. My favorite generes are alternative rock, alt-country, hard rock, etc. I love old Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam as well as SH-era Van Halen (read: grunge movement of early-mid-90s), but also love the alt-country movement (Son Volt, Wilco, Whiskeytown). Right now, I am digging Wilco, Okkervil River and The Cardinals, but love to jam hard core to older stuff. These are only a few of my loves. I really just want to get back behind the tubs and jam. From Austin originally, went to UGA in Athens, GA and have lived in London, NYC and Asia. I don't have my own set right now, but would love to practice and, if the situation is right, I would def purchase new equipment to be part of band. Holler if you have an interest in playing a bit together to see if we can take it somewhere. I am 29 and have been all through life. Traveled the world many times over and been a part of many business ventures. I am a creative fire with good connections. Let's make some music and have a good time!!

early-mid 20s musicians (2 guitarists, and a drummer) are looking to meet up with a like-minded singer and a bassist around the New York area to create a new band. All have been involved in music for many years and have some material written but would like to write new music with others and eventually perform (open mic/gig). We like to play modern/experimental rock but am definitely open to trying out various styles (even electronic beats/effects/jazz influenced riffs), however would like to stick to some kind of a rock 'framework' in a way, with some conceptual work done with the songs to really put in time and turn the music into art (which is very important to us).

Some of our influences: dredg, Incubus, Explosions in the Sky, Foo Fighters, Mono, non-western music

We would like to make music with anyone who is serious about it and looking to make well-thought out music to perform for others. We are currently practicing at the drummer's place in Brooklyn in the beginning until we lock down some other situation that works out for everyone where we can practice more regularly.

The type of musicians we are looking for are: open and creative, knowledge of music theory, willing to take the music seriously/dedication, ability to compromise, good attitude/sense of humor/laid back.

We will put in the time and effort to make it work, and ask that you will do the same. Please be prepared to meet up at least once a week, and be able to write material. Owning some basic recording equipment would be nice so that we could bounce ideas over the internet, but isn't required. Serious inquiries only please.

We recently finished building a brand new rehearsal room here in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's a beautiful 25 by 12 foot room, with a window and brand new 1400 BTU AC. There are no other rooms next to it, so you don't have to listen to anybody else but yourself. It's soundproofed with new carpeting over a floating wood floor. It's on the ground floor in our warehouse, which has a brand new bathroom. There are more pictures at the bottom of this ad. This is right in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 5 blocks from the Bedford L, right next to the Levee bar and the Rattegast Beer Garden. There are a million places to drink, eat and see other bands right around the corner.

There are two steel roll up gates at the front our lot, and sometimes a couple trucks parked on the lot. The entrance to the warehouse is at the back of the lot. Sorry, we haven't put up a sign yet.
