I want to write a book about my weight loss...

...but I'm having trouble accomplishing said weight loss. Therefore, I'm looking for a new acquaintance to help support, push, move me forward in my efforts. You would basically be the fairy angel on my shoulder moving me towards accomplishing this goal. If you don't like that image, let me leave it at this: We would sort of be 'in it together'. Details to be decided between us.

Afterwards, we would write this book together about the experience. One catch: I'm not moving to NYC until May, so it would have to be mainly a phone relationship. Hoping to lose 70 pounds by April.

I think this would make a great concept for a book. It would basically be an unusual & over-the-top solution to a problem (the problem of a food addiction)...To tell you the real details behind the book (I sort of embellished for this post's title): I had wanted to write about my weight loss back in April but it seemed like every other book out there. We are seeking an organized, internet savvy, talented, well-rounded intern who is passionate about the Internet, social media, good usability practices, Web 2.0 capabilities, and is obsessed with crafting, organizing and presenting data, to help grow our business and a new section of our site, Tonic Profiles. Profiles will serve as a go to destination for the latest news about specific personalities, companies and causes. Sort of a Wikipedia of goodness, Tonic Profiles will work collaboratively with featured subjects to provide the latest information on charitable activities, amazing philanthropic projects and other information on the good intent of celebrities, athletes, top companies, nonprofits and others.

You will be researching content and supporting daily research for Tonic writers as well as assisting with profile subject outreach and fact checking. This role requires a responsible individual who can balance multiple projects that involve working with different customer facing applications and websites. You will help manage Google alerts for thousands of individual subjects. You must be highly self-motivated, organized, innovative, and well-versed in Internet technologies. This position requires a detail-oriented, business-focused professional, experienced with researching and organizing data in a fast-paced environment.

The position is unpaid but Tonic will work with interns to help them gain academic credit for the internship.

The ideal candidate will:

� Be an effective multi-tasker

� Possess strong communication skills and handle multiple projects in a growing small company

� Have knowledge of web browsers, search engines and maneuvering through company, personality and cause web sites
