Company Description: Media company that produces historical films for use in editorial, news, and documentaries
Job Description: Media company is seeking a part-time Researcher and Caption Writer to work from home. The Caption Writer will perform research on digital film clips that he/she views over our website and will then use the web to gather historical information on clips. The Caption Writer will write historically accurate descriptions and keywords that will be published in our clips database. The Caption Writer will need to have an in-depth knowledge of 20th century history and a strong attention to detail.
Approximately 15-20 hours of work to be assigned weekly. All work will be done from home on your own schedule over the web.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree -- preferably in history
• Research experience with web & databases (non-clinical)
• MUST HAVE knowledge of how keywords are used in databases
• Knowledge and interest in 20th century history
• Strong written skills and internet/database skills; Basic Excel skills needed
• Ability to think analytically and follow detailed instructions
• Attention to detail and reliability is a must
