Angelsoft.Net is Looking For
* A French-speaking student or freelancer to help us translate our financial web software into French.
* This is a single-project contract, expected to last three to six weeks with a possibility for a long term engagement on a smaller scale, starting as soon as possible.
* Work from home is possible but most work should be done at our offices at 23rd St. and Madison Ave.
* Flexible schedule - as long as you meet the deadline.
What You'll Do
* You'll receive text files from us with all English phrases and actions in our application (7,400+ individual lines, containing 40,000+ words.)
* You'll create a French copy of it, and translate the phrases and words in it.
* You'll be given access to our software so that you can understand the context of these phrases and test your translations.
* You'll be able to consult with our Product managers and some of our French customers to address questions or translate industry terms.
* You'll work with our software developers to help them identify areas that need translation.
* Once your translations are implemented on our test environment, you'll help us make sure nothing was missed and help with final changes and touch ups.
What You'll Need
* Translator-level French
* Good experience and understanding of web software
* Basic understanding of financial terms is preferred (You'll need to translate some terms like "Valuation," "Convertible Debt", "Monthly Net Burn".)
* Experience working at a startup company and having a good sense of humor are a plus
