Senior Drupal/PHP Developer responsible for coding and development.
Excellent Drupal, PHP/MySQL programming experience and strong knowledge of hand-coded HTML and CSS. 80% heads down coding position under direction of a team leader/project manager. Not a design position. Candidate will work on a variety of web, email, database and search projects.
This is a LAMP career path (not .net). Full time, onsite position.
This person is responsible for transitioning a newly developed Drupal / MySQL site from an outside firm. Attention to detail required for high quality development and flawless deployment. Experience with PHP, MySQL, as well as strong HTML and CSS coding skills, is required. ColdFusion knowledge is necessary for integration into our current sites. Must be team player, have the ability to prioritize projects and multi-task, as well as possess “grace under pressure”. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop coding and automation for web sites in Drupal and PHP.
• Query writing in MySQL and MSSQL.
• Manage the website installation on Linux and Windows.
• Manage Apache and IIS on web servers including connections to remotely hosted servers.
• Responsible for the integration between Drupal and existing ColdFusion sites.
• Cross training of existing staff.
Qualifications:
• Full time, on-site position, no telecommuters.
• A minimum of 5+ year’s public facing website development and experience in a multi-person, professional software development environment.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree preferred Command of English language (written and verbal) is mandatory
• Knowledge of (with examples in portfolio that demonstrate experience)
o PHP (at an “expert” level in a production environment)
o Linux/Unix server experience including Red Hat or similar
o SQL coding experience (at "expert" level with MySQL)
o ColdFusion development experience.
o MSSQL database creation and manipulation.
o Strong background and familiarity with PHP and JavaScript/Ajax frameworks
o Deeply versed in JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, AJAX and cross-browser compatibility.
o Excellent people skills - demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical team members.
