I bought a HTC 8526 att with WM5 last night from one guy. it worked well, then i upgraded it to WM6. i followed steps here http://www.htc.com/us/FAQ_Detail.aspx?p_id=65&act=sd.
the upgrade was successful, and I went to sleep. next morning I made a call which interrupted on 12th minute and the display showed that "sim card is missing".
I tried to take the sim card and put it back several times, but it didn't help.
I gave a call to HTC support, they advised to go to att store and ask them to test the phone. the guy in store did a hard reset, and said that i'm using latest sim card. no success.
i use latest 3g att sim card, which works on the other phone.
then i reflashed to WM6 again, but no success.
then i tried hard reset, but it didn't help neither.
when you go to settings->phone there's a message "the sim card is missing", "you can make emergency call if your service provider supports it". there's no way i can go to the next menu to change the network (gsm) settings.
