An audio drama adaptation of Flannery O’Connor’s chilling short story, 'A Good Man is Hard to Find,' about a family trip coinciding with the path of a serial killer. The story takes place in Georgia, and all characters have varying degrees of a Southern accent.

Character Descriptions
(All Ages are Approx.)
1. Male / 41-50 yrs. / Caucasian.
The Misfit: a psychotic serial killer who leads two other men in his rampage of murders. Reportedly killed his father and was sent to prison. Disdains religion and does not believe in salvation. Impossibly cold and apathetic. *Pivotal character of story
2. Female / 51-60 yrs. / Caucasian.
The Grandmother: selfish, superficial, old-fashioned, and paranoid, she seems to only care about two people- her only son Bailey and herself. Constantly lamenting about her surroundings and the current state of the world. Very flexible with her emotions and has a different face to correspond with different situations. Has slight Southern accent. *Central character of story
3. Male / 6-10 yrs. / Caucasian.
John Wesley: Bailey's rowdy and adventure-seeking son. Enjoys teasing his younger sister and mocking his grandmother. Disregards instructions from authoritative figures. Has slight Southern accent.
4. Female / 6-10 yrs. / Caucasian.
June Star: Bailey's only daughter, a middle child. Is pampered and spoiled by her family but too young to be conscious of it. Temperamental and likes to follow her older brother's footsteps. Disrespects adults. Has slight Southern accent.
5. Male / 41-50 yrs. / Caucasian.
Red Sammy: owner of local barbeque diner joint. Lazy and chauvinistic, likes to control his wife. Expresses special interest in June Star, and believes in the good old days when crime rate was low and everyone got along. Heavy Southern accent.
6. Female / 41-50 yrs. / Caucasian.
Red Sammy's wife: simple-minded, listens to what Red Sammy instructs her to do, but likes to mind other people's business. Heavy Southern accent.
7. Male / 30-50 yrs./ Caucaisian.
Bailey: Father to June Star and John Wesley. He is passive yet authoritative.
