At Splashlight, we strive to use the best solution for the job at hand. We have a unique environment with multiple OS systems and Enterprise Level Desktop Publishing Systems which will provide opportunities to learn about state-of-the-art Unix systems and IT server infrastructure.
Your daily tasks will include assisting the IT Director with the management of a medium sized network of Windows/Apple/Linux workstations and Windows/Apple/Linux servers. There are also two company wide wireless networks with laptops and iPhone connections.
Interested candidates should possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems. You should have the ability to research and understand technical documentation, and an understanding of how to apply various technical resources. Ability to perform tasks such as providing operating systems and application software installations and upgrades, virus protection and eradication. Able to interact effectively with management, staff and other studio personnel, and work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills.
The candidate’s duties would include:
• Basic technical duties and trouble shooting
• Good Communication Skills
• Network management
• Building/imaging computers
• Building/configuring/maintaining servers
• Web authoring/development
• Monitoring help desk support requests
