About you: PC/Network Support Technician. Full or Part Time (a.m. hours and weekends principally)
Have a minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
Possess at least one high level industry recognized certification (eg. MCP, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, CCNE).
Hands-on experience with most aspects of
o Active DirectoryWindows 2000/2003 Server
o Exchange 2003, SBS 2003
o all current versions of Windows desktop O/Ss
o wireless networking, security, design
o routers and firewall configurations
o network security and policies
desktop and enterprise antivirus solutions
Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in all basic data and voice cable topologies, including terminating and testing.
A self-starter, resourceful, When stuck on a technical problem, you are more inclined to do some research or think it through on your own before picking up the phone for an easy answer.
Eager to learn new things and grow professionally and as a person.
Professional, ambitious team player.
Friendly, polite, neat, organized, thorough and articulate. Strong documentation skills.
Live within 30 minutes of midtown Manhattan(a strong preference)
Have a valid US drivers license.
Extra Consideration, additional specialties
Telecom interconnection experience: installation, integration, troubleshooting of common voice & data circuits (POTS, T1, SDSL, ADSL, integrated T1, etc.)
VoIP and IP based PBX systems, including Asterisk; integration with traditional phone systems; VLAN implementation; QoS.
Printers (HP, Lexmark, Xerox, etc.)
PDA and other mobile devices, integration with mail services (Palm, Blackberry, WindowsCE, etc.)
Experience with Apple OS/X and/or Linux.
Data recovery, hard drive repair
Experience dispatching technicians, service operations and customer service.
About us: We are an IT / Managed Service Provider (MSP) firm located in lower midtown on the east side of Manhattan with a primary focus on small businesses (10 to 110 seats) that do not have their own IT staff. For many of these customers, we provide everything from CIO functions to network implementation and maintenance to desktop troubleshooting, all with guaranteed response times. The majority of our work is performed in Manhattan with on-site and remote support also going to customers on Long Island, New Jersey, Westchester and Connecticut.
Compensation: Compensation levels depend on experience but we are also incentive driven with opportunities for significant earnings beyond base salary and rates.
