This is an IT position at a consulting firm with approximately 90 employees. Infrastructure support includes maintenance of network (WAN, LAN, WLAN related services) and server equipment (file server, remote administration of exchange server and virtual server, and future SharePoint server) including installation and upgrades of hardware, software, operating systems and software packages. The position also provides end-user senior management support in person, by e-mail and telephone. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required.

Assist with planning and provide implementation of the policies and procedures needed to support the network and server support services - experience with Sarbanes-Oxley reporting a plus
Manage, maintain and troubleshoot network and server hardware, software, operating systems and related hardware/software systems
Provide end users support for hardware and software applications (MS office, etc.) and systems such as Cisco VPN.
Analyze performance and make recommendations of upgrades/changes
Recommend and perform necessary maintenance activities
Manage security systems for LAN/WAN and related systems
Maintain network diagrams and installation records of equipment
Maintain all aspects of the network infrastructure environment including infrastructure services (Active Directory, email, DNS, HTTP and SQL) and WAN/LAN/WLAN networking devices
Perform and test system backup/recovery procedures on the servers and related equipment
Management of the Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure including user accounts
Manage electronic mail systems including Microsoft Exchange
Assess, test, plan, document, assist with budget preparation for review related to the rollout of new technologies
Assess organization's current and future relevant needs
Provide primary "on-call" responsibility for related systems:
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 2008 Server
- Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience supporting Microsoft Exchange 2007 Server
- Microsoft Sharepoint Services
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows XP operating systems
- Symantec Veritas Backup Exec and Endpoint Protection
- Knowledge of basic protocols, including HTML, DHCP, LDAP, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP
- Cisco Switches
- Cisco Firewall
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors degree or some type of industry related certification required. Demonstrated professional experience in the information technology field, with 10 years of related experience preferred.
