I am a teacher, non-smoker; looking for apartment-swap with any Manhattan- apartment (also near Manhattan North-Brooklyn or Queens is OK) for my beach and pool- apartment �in paradise�, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands in a very beautiful non-touristic area (I am the owner).
I am an easygoing and respectful person, any simple place is ok for me to swap because I live all time in a beautiful place.
It�s situated just close to the beach (half a minute or less), with a big swimming pool and green garden, on the 3rd floor (nobody above) with a nice balcony (you can take the sun or dinner there), big living-room, one bedroom, kitchen (with washer) and bathroom.
The sofa in the salon can be converted into another bed (extractable bed with a mattress inside).
Save and quiet area and island. Very beautiful village with only flat houses, nothing high (the house of my apartment is the biggest of the area). Stores, restaurants, supermarket, gym, SPA, pharmacy, post office and all comfort around; you have bus connections here and if you rent a car, there is free parking all around in this area. It�s a perfect place to relax, calm and quiet and if you want to escape for more trouble or nightlife, everything is near (10 min. to Las Palmas town, less to town Telde,�)
Large, beautiful beachwalk over kilometres passing other beaches and villages, lightened at night. You can stay on the beach till late, it�s getting dark late, around 9.30 pm, then you can still walk or run at the beach or beachway, which is lightened the whole night.
No mosquitos and also much better, healthier climate hereas in the Caribbean (subtropical and no rain) Here doesn�t exist dangerous fishes or seafood in the ocean. Perfect place for beach-lovers who like relaxing and hanging out.

The area is called: La Garita, belonging to Telde, Las Palmas, Island: Gran Canaria (airport code: LPA). It�s closed to Africa, belonging to Spain, well- European developed, language: Spanish.
Spanish language school near, in Las Palmas, 20 min. Very cheap, only 254.- euros for a 2-week courses (127 one week) for 20 hours a week, 4hs daily, groups with not more than 13 people.
Anyway, life is cheaper here as in the rest of Europe.

Me and Jean louis, my husband, have already come a dozen times in new york city. We're done a lot of friends artists or musicians. We take our holidays to go to many visiting jazz concerts, art galleries and museums and, above all, we walk around this city we love.

Generally we share with our friends but this year we have not found anything yet for the month of July (8 to July 31), then we will be in the apartment of a friend at State Street Brooklyn during the first two weeks of August.

Hi, we would like to swap our cosy one bed Barcelona apartment for a similar apartment in Manhattan. Our apartment is well equipped with bedroom, dressing room, tv/dining room and kitchen. It is located in the Park Guell district of Barcelona, about 8km north of the sea, which is home to a must-see Gaudi-designed park containing world famous sculptures. The district is built on a pass between two mountains 300metres above sea level, so air temperatures in summer are very pleasant indeed. Yet despite this community feel away from teh bustle there are 24 hour transport options literally on the doorstep: a bus which runs at high frequency day and night and a metro stop ten minutes walk way (3 stops to centre). Alternatively, live like the locals and hire a motorbike to get easily between the Old Town, Gracia district with its trendy restaurants and cinemas and the Eixample with its bars. Or even use the city's free bicing scheme. Barcelona is simply one of the liveliest, most beautiful and exciting desintations in Europe with something for everyone. It has a great city beach on its doorstep, or there are plenty of beach excursions possible on the beautiful Meditteranian coasts north and south, all easily accessible by train, car or moto. I am looking for a friendly, considerate person to sublet my room in a lovely 3 bedroom North Berkeley apartment. I am a Berkeley graduate student in geography, and I will be doing research on the east coast for most of July and August. One permanent roommate (a woman), a graduate student in biology, and one subletter (a man) will be staying over the summer. They are both thoughtful roommates, and I am sure you will enjoy living with them. Please note: I am posting now to get the word out, but I will be away May 17-24 and won�t be checking email. Please don�t be discouraged if I don�t respond right away, I will be responding to inquiries starting May 25.

My lovely room is available July 1 to August 25; dates negotiable. This is a large (12� x 13�), bright room with high ceilings and built-in bookcases. I am leaving the room fully furnished with a full size bed, nightstand, big desk, chest, mirror, and armchair (and the room is definitely big enough that it doesn�t feel cramped!). Closet/storage space is just outside the room in an armoire and an extra closet rod for hanging clothes.

Our apartment is clean and welcoming, with big bedrooms, a big, well-equipped kitchen with large windows, two full bathrooms (!), and an oddly small living room. The apartment has access to on-site coin-operated laundry machines and street parking (unlimited) is almost always available close to the unit.

Our location is fantastic, near the corner of Virginia and Martin Luther King. We�re a short walk (about a quarter mile) from the �gourmet ghetto� in North Berkeley, an area with lots of great restaurants and boutiques and two supermarkets (a Safeway and an Andronicos). We�re a 10-minute walk to the Downtown Berkeley BART station and a 15-minute walk to the UC Berkeley campus. It�s about 35 minutes by BART to downtown San Francisco. We�re also within two miles of the wonderful Berkeley Bowl supermarket and a Trader Joe�s, and there�s easy access to neighborhood parks and bike paths.

Rent is $723/month plus utilities for each room. In the summer electricity runs about $15-20 per person. We have cable and wireless internet access as well for an additional charge.

We are looking for someone responsible, reliable, trustworthy, clean and drama-free. No pets and no smoking in the house, and please no drugs or excessive partying. Our comfortable apartment is on the second floor of a well-maintained building on the banks of the main river that runs through the center of Dublin. This is an ideal location for people who want to explore the town.

The location:
The apartment is located close to the heart of Dublin, nearby museums, theaters, restaurants, pubs, and shops. All of Dublin's main attractions are within walking distance. It is just two small blocks (five minutes walk) to the west of the Temple Bar area, where you will find lots of Dublin's nightlife and music venues.

Less than 15 minutes easy walk to the west of the apartment is the entrance to Phoenix Park, the largest enclosed urban park in Europe - 1,760 acres � complete with free-roaming deer.

If you would like to explore outside of Dublin, there is also easy access by public transport to spectacular nature in the vicinity of Dublin (especially along the coast to the North and South of Dublin including the Wicklow Mountains). Since we are in the middle of the city center we do not run a car. We regularly hire a car for weekends to the west cost (3-4 hours drive) from a nearby car hire company. There are also plenty of tour buses leaving from Dublin.

The apartment:
The apartment has three rooms: the living room, the bedroom and the study that is occasionally used as a guest bedroom. There is a small kitchen off the living room equipped with dishwasher and washing machine.

It's a bright and airy apartment with wooden floors throughout. Although modest in size (60 square meters / 645 square feet) it feels spacious. There is also a communal garden for residents.

I will be visiting New York with my girlfriend. We would of course take very good care of your place, as we would expect of you.

THE FLAT
It is located at the 4th floor with elevator.
We have a large living-eating room, with lots of light. You'll enjoy our large flat TV, DVD, etc and of course airconditioning. It can get quite warm already in June in Madrid!
The kitchen is fully equiped, anything you can need.
We have also 3 double bedrooms, one being used as study room. And to finish, two complete bathrooms, one with shower, one with bathtub; The whole house has wooden floors.
Everything has been just rebuilt, so nice, fresh, modern.

THE AREA
Very convenient, as I said it is very well communicated, also if you wanna take Madrid as starting point to visit the area. Toledo, Salamanca, Segovia, all of them in the neighbourhood and more than worth a visit.
We have lots of green areas around, also gyms, tennis courts, golf, etc
Supermarkets and all other commerce is 5 mins away.

What else can I add? Well, we are very relaxed, quiet people. Steve goes often to Princeton, since he works for an American company located there, and this time I will join him there to spend sometime in one of my favourite cities. It would be great then if we find an exchange.

I have a beautiful studio in an ideal location: on a tree-lined quiet street literally steps from the W Village and in W. Soho and all of its restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops, as well as access to numerous subway lines and a bike path along the river.
