Magnify.net is seeking an Applications and Systems Administrator to join our team in NYC.

We continue to build and deliver to the market a dynamic product that has resulted in unprecedented company growth. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the delivery of our SaaS web video platform in a high availability, minimum response time, highly scalable environment. The opportunity is to contribute to the company technical agenda and make a real difference with what you can bring to the organization.
Required skills:
• At least 5 years experience managing infrastructure for a high availability web based application delivering millions of dynamic requests per day
• Experience with MySQL, Apache, Load Balancing, Database replication, performance tuning, Caching, data normalization and database architecture are all key to this role.
• Experience working with a managed hosting provider
• Experience with cloud computing solutions such as Amazon S3
• Understanding of professional software development processes. Including familiarity with the cycles of requirements definition, issue tracking, version control, automated testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Clear and articulate communication, both written and spoken.
• Strong desire to be a key contributor and accountable for your role to the other members of this driven team.
• Experience in perl, php or ajax development and a desire to contribute to the software development team a plus
