Network Researcher/Developer

The LimeWire client team seeks an exceptional NETWORK RESEARCHER/DEVELOPER. Working with a world-class development team, this position will be responsible for:

• Developing measurement tools (some based on existing LimeWire code)
• Cleaning, parsing, combining, and analyzing, and visualizing data from a variety of sources
• Maneuvering between network measurements and pieces of the LimeWire codebase


Requirements:
• Strong CS background (including probability, stats, and graph theory)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and practical experience
• Java language skills and practical experience
• Scripting language skills (Perl, Python, etc.) for manipulating data files
• Data analysis skills, using R, SQL, Perl, Python, Excel, etc.
• Data visualization skills R, Gnuplot, Excel, etc.
• A driving curiosity to explain anomalies and find correlations
• Ability to work autonomously

Bonus:
• Experience with P2P networks (specifically Gnutella)
• Experience with DHTs (specifically Kademlia)
