The CUNY School of Professional Studies is building a team of developers to extend the Sahana Disaster Management System. The goal of this project is to expand on the existing functionality of this excellent application to meet the needs of an all-hazards response system for the NYC Office of Emergency Management. Additionally we are seeking to add value to the Sahana global user community, by stringently maintaining the quality and coding standards set forth by the Sahana Developer Community in the hope of having our work accepted by upstream for inclusion in successive Sahana releases.
We are currently seeking a passionate and inventive application developer with strong PHP, Perl, and MySQL skills to participate in the design and development of this exciting application. Benefits include pension, medical and dental insurance, sick leave, paid vacation, transit reiumbursement, tuition assistance, professional development, a cool place to work with smart and exciting peers, and the knowledge that you'd be contributing to a worldwide effort to reduce human suffering and save lives in crisis situations.
