Security Guards may be responsible for one or more of the following:
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees
- Promote positive public relations by offering courteous service
- Control access to buildings and monitor activities of visitors
- Maintain proficiency with building's life safety system and central security panel
- Assist in emergency situations (i.e. fire, evacuations, human crisis, etc.)
- Communicate with Supervisor/Manager on issues related to safety
- Monitor building operations and tour property
- Maintain daily logs and shift reports
