The Public Safety department at Barnard College, Columbia University has a non-union, administrative opportunity available for an On-Call Public Safety Supervisor. The On-Call Public Safety Supervisor is directly responsible for the management of all security activities, services and security staff on duty during his/her assigned shift. Observe and report activities and incidents; conduct investigations; insure the safe and efficient use of College vehicles and other department equipment; conduct roll call and inspect uniforms and equipment of Public Safety officers; and perform administrative tasks as directed.
Must have ability to work flexible hours primarily weekends and holidays; high school diploma or equivalent (College preferred); extensive law enforcement/security background; Excellent interpersonal skills; good written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work independently and under pressure. Working knowledge of PC and MS-Word, Excel applications.
