We are a contemporary management consulting firm that specializes in information technology, with offices in New York City and San Francisco. Currently, we are seeking a full time Technical Associate (a mid-level position) for our New York City office to participate in completing IT projects and provide technical assistance on-site at our clients offices. We will consider applicants who are skilled and have significant experience working in back office server room and front office desktop environments. Specifically, the applicant should have experience in many of the following:
Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
Server deployment, provisioning, and management
Architecture, design, configuration, installation and documentation of new systems
Server operational monitoring and management
Authoring and maintaining of support documents
Participates in server consolidation planning migrations to concentrated sites and other server-based strategy planning efforts
Works with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, or Microsoft SharePoint
Virtualization, including VM Ware, ESX and GSX products, a plus
Mac OS, Novell Network, or Linux a plus
Previous project management experience a plus
Please note that our Technical Associates are required to travel with the New York City metropolitan area to perform work or be on call during non-regular office hours and weekends. At times, they may be expected to travel to participate in trade shows as either an exhibitor or attendee.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree awarded by a liberal arts college or an engineering degree a plus
At least 5 years of experience working with various server and desktop technologies you will be given tests during the interview
Requires excellent verbal and written communication, and people skills we would ask you to provide a writing sample for the interview
Results-oriented with a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Be willing to work in a small, highly dynamic environment where you will be required to perform a wide range of technical work
