Mid Level Network Administrator/Engineer
We are currently seeking a Mid Level Network Administrator to join our in-house IT department. The successful candidate will possess a strong desire to learn and grow while participating in a fast moving, ever-changing environment.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Senior Network Engineer in the design, maintenance, and engineering of FXCM’s corporate and production networks. The applicant will also need to work in a team environment with other network and infrastructure engineers, as well as take ownership of individual projects.
Major Responsibilities:
* Cisco/Juniper/Brocade-Foundry switch and router maintenance
* Network infrastructure research/engineering/support
Requirements:
* CCNP level networking knowledge
* Must have strong communications skills and problem solving ability
* Understanding of multicast environments
* Ability to be on call 24x7
* Ability to work occasional nights/weekends if needed
* Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Useful Knowledge and Skills:
* Load Balancing (especially f5/foundry)
* Firewalls (especially Juniper/Checkpoint)
* Experience in the financial industry
* Scripting skills (perl/sh/awk/python/ruby/etc)
