POSITION SUMMARY
Works on defining, integrating and supporting complex applications utilizing a wide range of technologies
Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Recommend updates and improvements to existing systems
Fix, improve and extend existing code bases
Frequently called upon to solve problems; possesses strong problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
Other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
A minimum of 2 or more years experience in web application development
Strong technology skills in multiple of the following areas:
o HTML, CSS
o XML, Xpath, XSL
o J2EE, Java
o Database technologies such as Sql Server, Oracle, mySQL
Good understanding of modern software architecture and approaches including:
o CMS systems and integration
o Media and Content delivery
o Caching technologies
o Web Services
o Search Engine Optimization
Develops, applies, revises and maintains code and systems as necessary
Ability to do all levels of hands on work in software engineering
Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment
Requires a BS or equivalent experience
