Reliant Security, a specialized information security consultancy is looking for a qualified senior systems engineer.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to work developing unique security solutions built around a leading edge UNIX framework with custom software.
Candidates should have a strong background in network and systems security, and UNIX systems integration.
We specifically require:
- at least 5 years of overall IT experience
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- extensive experience with Linux and/or UNIX systems integration, including administration, package deployment, configuration, “bare iron” installs
- experience with information security architecture, approach, and theory. Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of cryptography, access controls, policy and procedure, and major security models
- scripting experience in shell, PERL, or Python
- strong UNIX security skills including system hardening
- networking experience including full understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals.
Work will be in New York and New Jersey. Our office is in NYC.
Standard benefits are available.
Salary will be between $75,000 and $90,000 based on the strength and experience of a candidate.
