This would be a sublease that would ideally go until the end of the lease (end of August). I'm willing to look at short term situations but it wouldn't be ideal.

This is a large apartment (only two per floor in this building), with two good sized rooms. The available room is 10ft/13ft and has two windows. The view isn't the greatest (there's a building 15ft across the way) but as we're on the 4th floor you get a decent amount of light. Btw, this is a walk-up so you'll get some exercise :-)

The apartment itself was remodeled two years ago, has new wood floors, a large living room (13ftx17ft), a big bathroom with a tub and a large stone counter top. Kitchen is decent size, large enough to cook in comfortably with plenty of cabinets and a full sized refrigerator.

Room is semi-furnished at the moment as it has a queen sized bed and a large Ikea shelving unit. It also has an A/C in the window (not useful now but will come in handy later). If you want to bring your own furniture I can clear this stuff out, otherwise its yours to use and enjoy.

About me - I'm 30 years old (m), I work as a consultant which means I'm often out on the road during the week. Sometimes I take trips up to two or three weeks at a time and other times I'm home for a week between projects. I also work with in the city at times, which means more or less a 9 to 5.
Being that I travel quite a bit I think of coming home as returning to a sanctuary.

That means the apartment being in the same (or better) condition than when I left. I'm relatively organized in my life, but I'm not OCD. I try to keep things clean and relatively neat. I don't rush off to do the dishes as soon as I'm done cooking (I like to eat and digest first) but I also don't leave them there for several days. I think these are all situations that call for common sense and courtesy. I won't leave a mess that would piss me off if someone else had left it for me. If my roommate cooks dinner I'll do the cleaning. If I stock the the fridge I don't mind if my roommate eats the food, as long as the next resupply is done by him/her.

So it's all just a matter of mutual respect and consideration. I don't need to be best friends with my roommate but I also want to be comfortable in my home and not feel like I have to retreat to my room cause my roommate just arrived.

About you: Please be responsible and able to pay rent in a timely manner, professional and engaged in your own life. Outside of work I'm interested in good food, music, traveling, reading, technology, video games, single malts and bourbons, biking, conversations. Hopefully you have your own set of interests that keep you busy and active, so that when we occasionally are in the apartment at the same time we'll have something to talk about :-) I'd like to see a current credit report and I'll need a security deposit of one month's rent.

Rent is $1100 plus utilities (cable + internet + electricity is approx. $150 a month, can be reduced a bit if we get rid of cable, which I'm willing to do.)

I don't have a cleaning lady/dude but I'd be interested in splitting the cost of having someone come in monthly or bimonthly to clean, we can discuss that later.
