SAVE KING A759445-in immediate need for adoption at manhattan shelter!
There he is, poor boy, on the eiuth list tonight for tomorrow morning; people expressed some interest, but no one went to pick him up and adopt him at the shelter afterall.
How could someone "lose" such a wonderful dog...and not come looking for him?
Well, on 5/5/08, a very bright, gorgeous, sweet and younger than his
estimated age [8-to-10 year old?] King, arrived here as a stray at the
kill shelter in manhattan.
He has a limp on his right front leg, and we don't know why.
it seems it's not broken, and that he might have gotten hurt somehow on the streets,
but he remains happy and sweet: even though he can't run around,
he keeps his good humor.
King is an extremely loving dog: he's interested in and very calm and
nice around other dogs. He takes treats every so nicely from your
hands, walks politely on a leash, and know the "sit" command. And of
course he leans in (as every self respecting Rottie should!) for hugs,
petting and for kisses.
Rated Friendly by intake and MILD by vets.
IF you are a Rescuer qualified to pull from the AC&C, please call the New Hope Hotline
for Manhattan and pull King.
if you are a member of the public and would like to adopt him directly, email this posting
and we'll try to help, but lknow that time os of the essence, and only serious inquiries could be considered at this point, as King only has until tomorrow morning, so email us at this posting tonight, ASAP.
IF we're able to get him a time-reprive, you could then go directly tomorrow morning to the shelter to adopt this majestic, calm beautiful sweetheart.
the shelter has a small fee of $25 to $40 with license included, as he's over 5yrs of age.
ALthough the shelter opens to the public at noon for adoptions, it oppen to the staff and volunteers at 8am, and if we're not able to get him a time reprive, we'd be happy to accompany you 2morrow at 8am at the manhattan shelter and make sure he is pulled off the list if you indeed will be there to adopt him.
Please hurry if you intend to save his life!
you MUST bring his A# 759445 in order to identify him at the shelter!
Manhattan AC&C, on 110th street between 1st and 2nd aves, contact us if you need us to get in and stop this sad ordeal for King tomorrow morning from 8am to 9am.
