We're looking for a highly experienced freelance retoucher who has excellent teamwork skills and works well in a fast paced production environment.
Night shifts are available immediately as well.
Position: Retoucher
Responsibilities:
Communicate with Producers, Color Analysts, Production Team regarding client and in-house specifications.
Retouch digital files for web and print.
Color correction of clothing, furniture, jewelry, electronics, flesh tones.
Moiré removal, image sharpening, image compositing.
Prepare images for client delivery
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years experience in color correction, retouching and all areas of digital imaging production.
Minimum 2 years in prepress production environment
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
The ability to produce independently in a team environment.
Able to make sound decisions with limited information.
EXPERT working knowledge of Photoshop CS3. Layers/Sets, masks, paths, color correction tools, actions, batch processing.
Strong working knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Bridge and Quark.
Strong knowledge Excel, Word, FTP, FileMaker Pro.
Thorough working knowledge of MAC OSX.
Strong knowledge of D-max and ICC.
Strong knowledge of color theory and RGB, CMYK color spaces.
Ability to evaluate digital files and film.
Some design experience preferred.
Background in ad agency a plus.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary or scheduled.
Must show portfolio (before and after shots) of recent work at interview.
