INTERACTIVE DIRECTOR
IOMEDIA is seeking an Interactive Director to manage a team of talented interactive specialists and technologists. You will work in conjunction with other IOMEDIA studios and creative directors to produce compelling custom interactive applications. Projects include a variety of applications for multiple industries that include sales tools, touch screens, mobile apps, corporate websites etc.
Candidate should ideally have a strong background in art direction and graphic design principals, and have translated those skills into interactive design capabilities and solutions.
This is a full-time, salaried position with a generous benefits package, including medical, dental, life insurance and a 401K profit-sharing program.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Commence each project with a thorough understanding of strategies and objectives, as outlined in the core strategy statement and/or creative brief supplied by clients and/or Creative Directors
Collaborate with Creative Directors to define and develop project plans, and ensure that project objectives are met in their entirety and in a timely manner
Maintain steady communication with Creative Directors for internal presentation of creative concepts and execution
Prepare creative/interactive components for presentation to the client
Determine production specifications, including sizing, formatting, color, type selection, etc.
Provide quality control in regard to working prototypes and finished deliverables at all interim stages of development
Provide day to day creative/art direction to the team
Produce and manage mock-ups for navigation and interface designs
Meet all milestones and final deliverables by delegating tasks, managing timelines, supervising artists, and overseeing the execution of those tasks
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure timelines and schedules are being adhered to
Communicate weekly on all project needs, resource issues, timelines, and conflicts to VP of Production.
Develop business process & tools to improve and support client delivery
Serve as a liaison between Creative Directors and artists, communicating important information regarding creative direction, progress, and issues.
Motivate the team and guide them to improving their expertise.
Consult with technical leads to help determine project specs/limitations/capabilities
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years experience in interactive design principals, creative/art direction, and storyboarding
3+ years experience in hiring, managing, maintaining, and motivating a team of interactive designers and technical artists
3+ years in project management
Superior presentation and communication skills
BA or BS degree
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in interactive design applications Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Flash/Dreamweaver
Ability to understand & produce navigation flowcharts and interface wireframes based on client requirements
Knowledge of capabilities of different interactive solutions
PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLSo
Timeline / resourcing software (Filemaker, Fasttrack)
Microsoft Office Word / Excel
