Advertising agency is seeking a highly motivated, smart, creative, and energetic Production Artist/Graphic Designer for a mix of print and web-based projects, who can hit the ground running with a growing company.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create layouts and execute concepts based on design guidance for web, print advertising, presentations and collateral material
- Retouch/manipulate and color correct images
- Prepare final artwork for print production, ensuring that projects are created to specification prior to releasing to vendors
- HTML production of emails, micro-sites, flash banners and other web production
- Work closely with web developers to provide necessary images and graphics
- Create mock-ups for client approval
To perform this job successfully, qualified candidates need:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office, and the ability to successfully troubleshoot Mac computer systems
- 3-4 years of experience as a Production Artist and a four-year degree in graphic design, fine arts or advertising, or other related field experience
- Typography skills, good color sense and a sharp eye for layout
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of the printing process and prepress experience
- Visual and conceptual problem solving skills, including the ability to produce a variety of solutions to any given problem, both independently and within a team setting
- Experience with Dreamweaver, Flash animation, HTML coding and video editing is a big plus
- Superb attention to detail
