ASSISTANT MEDIA PLANNER
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Communications or Advertising from a school with a RECOGNIZED COMMUNICATIONS PROGRAM (SYRACUSE, BOSTON COLLEGE, BOSTON UNIVERSITY for example) DEGREE IN COMMUNICATIONS or ADVERTISING
- MUST HAVE AN INTERNSHIP IN AN AGENCY (could be in account mgmt or media) - MUST HAVE AN INTERNSHIP IN AN ADVERTISING OR MEDIA AGENCY - MUST HAVE AN INTERNSHIP (really..you need an INTERNSHIP for this spot!)
- MUST have exceptional ANALYTICAL skills and attention to detail
- MUST BE ABLE TO FLOURISH IN A FAST-PACED DEADLINE ORIENTED ENVIRONMENT
- Need to feel VERY COMFORTABLE dealing with numbers & data
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proficiency in all MS Office applications - ESPECIALLY EXCEL
- MUST HAVE AN IDEA OF THE BUSINESS OF ASDVERTISING & DIFFERENT COMPONENTS OF A CAMPAIGN
- NEED TO BE VERY SAVVY WHEN IT COMES TO SOCIAL MEDIA (TWITTER, FACEBOOK, MYSPACE)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track & report on Client budget/advertising spend
- Conduct research relating to DEMOGRAPHICS & COMPETITION
- Coordinate communication between internal teams & Client
- Particpiate in MEDIA PLAN presentations
- handle a variety of projects as assigned
