Segal is a leading employee benefits, human resources, and compensation consulting firm recruiting for a Marketing Coordinator.
The Opportunity: Segal’s National Sales & Marketing Department serves as the company's in-house marketing agency, developing and leading a wide range of initiatives to help generate interest in Segal's business lines and expertise as well as to help identify likely prospects for new or expanded business. The department also provides logistical services in areas such as marketing writing, design and implementation to local office initiatives. This position will work on a variety of recurring projects as well assist with the execution of non-recurring national initiatives designed to position and promote the sales of Segal’s practices and services across all three client markets (corporate, multiemployer, and public sector).
The Role: The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible, but not limited to, the following:
Assist with the management of Segal sponsored/hosted seminars and webinars throughout the U.S. and Canada including marketing campaign implementation, client/prospect contact database updates, and occasional on-site execution.
Work with the Manager of Marketing Communications to manage the database of new-business proposal activity, follow up on requests for Lost Opportunity Interviews and other post-proposal processes, and develop reports based on the effectiveness of Segal's new business efforts.
Work with the Manager of Web Services to monitor search engine optimization efforts and implement search engine marketing campaigns through the major web search engines.
Coordinate development of Segal's exhibits, pre-conference mailings, and post-conference follow-up.
Assist with the development and production of collateral materials including company brochures, "one-pager" fliers and case studies, postcards, and direct mail pieces.
Assist other marketing functions as needed.
The Requirements: The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline; a minimum of 1-2 years of experience supporting sales and marketing activities preferably within a professional service environment; proven organization, communication, and business writing skills with the ability to work effectively in a team/collaborative-oriented environment; and exceptional PC skills (i.e., Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel). Demonstrated analytical skills will be needed for many of the projects. Specific skills and experience with events management, proposal database management, and search-engine marketing are preferred. Willingness to travel is required.
