This position provides clients with expertise and solutions offered by the agency, provides the agency strong healthy business growth and an engaged loyal client base, and provides the account management staff with the education, inspiration and professional development needed to tap their potential and to further their careers. This position will be responsible for the overall revenue growth, development and profitability of the assigned account business.
Provides leadership in account services, engages a deep level of understanding of the clients business objectives and champions those objectives within the agency
Leverages every opportunity to maximize client face-time in business and social settings and encourages/directs other account management staff to do the same.
Identifies, develops, and directs a team to provide strategic initiatives that will impact the clients business.
Understands and is able to defend resource allocations to his/her team(s) and proactively manages resource time to maximize return.
Monitors team results on an ongoing basis to allow management to make critical decisions when needed in order to deliver results.
Understands and communicates client business objectives and converts these into success metrics for our work and our team
Serves as the initial source for team questions regarding client intent, brand strategy, and project purpose
Ensures quality, consistency and professional collaboration between team members and other disciplines and services
Works diligently within the account and the client environment to find new opportunities and new sources of revenue.
Qualifications
10 years of advertising agency experience with a strong background in consumer interactive work including strategic direction of all interactive programs including: web site development, email, database and online advertising.
Minimum 5 years in interactive. Candidate must be able to demonstrate successful experience interacting at this level.
Track record of building successful client relationships and managing large accounts.
Experience in leading, managing and growing direct reports as well as a team oriented attitude in servicing clients.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and act as a conduit between the Business Development team and the execution team.
