My client is one of the fastest growing and unique private companies in the Legal Services industry and they are seeking a Practice Manager/ Leader for the NY office.

Below is an exact description of what my client is looking for. If you meet these requirements or at least 90% of these requirements, please send your resume and salary history (base salary from last two employers and total compensation for 2007 and 2008).

1) Must possess MBA and/or JD (Juris Doctorate) from a top tier school. Strong connections and contacts with General Counsel within Fortune 500 companies in the Northeast region. Must possess a proven track record of success selling consultative services to this unique group.
a) For example: former General Counsel, who has transitioned into business development, is a member of various professional associations (ACC, CAA, etc.), and can leverage those contacts for business for the firm.
b) Attorney from top-ranked AMLAW firm who has a network of either Law School peers or former associates/ partners who have gone on to work in corporate legal that he or she can leverage for potential business for the firm

2) Must be able to show a proven record of originating new business from inception to close. While leveraging contacts is one way to succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must also be able to “hunt and close’ business as well.

3) Must have proven record of carrying a $7Million- $10Million quota as well as holding P&L responsibility over a practice within a firm.
