Are you thinking about taking an art class, But not sure what you want to take? Come to the art workshops to try out a class before committing to a full course. And make an art work to take home .

Everyone can DRAW!
Forget what your fourth grade teacher said! With a good teacher you can learn how to draw. This fun workshop is a great introduction to drawing. Instructor: Branaislava Scheluchin 11:30am – 1:30pm and repeated 2:30 – 4:30pm
CLAY
In this hands-on workshop you will create a cup, add a handle and glaze it! Cups will be fired and ready for pick up in July.

ABSTRACT PAINTING – oil pastels
Experience one session of our popular ‘abstract painting’ course. Learn to express yourself using oil pastels with classical music for inspiration. Instructor: Avron Soyer.11:30pm – 1:30pm
PHOTO-GRAMS
Dada artists used the technique of putting objects on photo-paper then exposing it to light to create unique "photo-grams." This creative process is a great way to understand how things work in the darkroom. Instructor: Instructor: Karen Lindsey 11:30am - 1:30 pm and repeated 2:30pm - 4:30pm
WELDING Steel Sculpture
Are you intrigued by the idea of making steel sculpture or furniture? This demonstration will give you an idea of the working methods in creating sculpture out of metal. You will observe the use of cutting and joining metal with oxy-acetylene torch.

CARTOONING – DRAWING FOR GRAPHIC NOVELS
An introduction to format, composition, and creating continuous narrative
