My partner and I have been working for 8 months on an idea which will be amply funded by a preeminent NYC investment group and a founding corporate customer.

We are both seasoned in our space, advertising/marketing and media, and rooted in the NYC tech community. Despite our creative and strategic chops (conceiving and articulating in great detail the idea and its functionality) and business acumen, we simply weren't born with the minds of software engineers.

We therefore seek a third partner to round out our team: a technical founder who's either started and exited an internet business as a CTO or VP of Engineering, or has a minimum of 5 years of coding and team-management experience in social, search or eCommerce arenas. The ideal candidate will be seasoned in all three.

The language is TBD and you'll lead the charge to choose one, although we believe it'll likely be RoR or Java based on the nature of the business. Note that this will be a database intensive business, and a very deep level of experience with database construction and cutting is essential for this position.

Please send us your resume along with a paragraph or so of color about you. Some topics we'd find useful:

- What's most annoying about social networking from a technology perspective?
- Who's going to win over the longterm and why: Facebook Connect or Google Friend Connect?
- In your opinion, what is the most exciting implication for FBC and GFC?
- What's Amazon's biggest business threat?

If there's a question you'd rather answer that's vaguely in the same territory as these four, pose it an answer it for us.

Thanks for considering us and for responding.
