We're looking for a well-rounded Development Lead who enjoys working on diverse and challenging projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills and excel at collaborating and communicating with non-technical colleagues.
Our technology team runs a number of systems, from mobile applications to MapReduce logfile processing, all built on open-source components. We provide a fun, relaxed environment, an ideal place for developers to hone their skills and learn some new ones.
Experience:
• 7+ years experience
• Java web application development (Spring, Hibernate)
• Bachelors in Computer Science
• Experience with Scrum, XP or other agile methodologies
• Linux, Apache, Tomcat, MySQL
Responsibilities:
• Manage team of 4+ Java, Web and QA engineers
• Establish and improve software engineering best practices
• Work closely with product team to design, develop products
• Collaborate with management team
• Architecture integrating custom applications, 3rd party components and hosted web services
Knowledge:
• Analytics
• Data Warehousing
• Monitoring (e.g. zenoss)
• Email delivery systems
• Content Management Systems, forms and workflow
• HTML front-end development practices, JavaScript
• Ad operation systems, e.g. DART for Publishers
• Python
Must be eligible to work in the US.
